i had the same idea about 3 years ago, and searched thru the whole hellsinki for a pair of glasses, but couldn't fine a single one. fusk.

it doesn't "require" 3d glasses. you can recognize everything without (i need to know, because i don't have stereo vision, and i coded the thing :)
This one ruled on the big screen, nothing more to say.

would've been pretty good without the 3d element even if the music didn't do a whole lot for me (sound quality was pretty good though) .. as usual fr managed to fit a lot of stuff into a tiny amount of bytes.. with the 3d it's even better.. it's pretty well implemented, but the stereoscopic image phasing seems to be a little too extreme here and there which lessens the quality of the effect.. or maybe my eyes are just f*cked.. :)

Tumbs up for the idéa alone, i watched the demo without stereoscopic glasses simpy because i couldnt find mine but if it does what it says then it gets my thumb for that aswell. Its not like i havnt seen stereoscopic 3d before.
dyscotopia: you can adjust the "deepness" of the stereoscopic affect by sitting further away or closer to the monitor. Also, the total size of the picture plays a role. it works cool on a monitor, but on the big screen, it looked much better (to our pleasant surprise)
a bit boring, but i can't wait to get some 3d-glasses. hm.. i wonder what would happen if i put some plastic-glasses outside my revelators? :)

definitely cool. we were lying under the big screen while it was played. shocking experience.
I've been considering doing some stereoscopic stuff ever since I got a pair of red/green glasses with the book "Virtual Reality Systems". But since I assumed most sceners don't have a pair handy, I never got around to actually doing it.
Thumbs up for this nice idea. The 3D effect is not so good with red-green glasses though, maybe red-green/red-cyan/red-blue could be added as options in the final version?

I guess it's really cool wh the glasses but I don't have any at hand. The visual part is ok without them anyway but the music sucks... Do we need an earplug for it to sound better? ;-) No thumb up this time, because of that music...

Anyways a request for a forthcoming *final* version pleease:
Add a small select-menu at the start where the user can choose between 3D-version (with glasses) or 'non-3D' for being able to watch it anyways although if you have no red/blue glasses available! ...or lost them...etc... ;-)

Just curious why you chose red/cyan and not red/blue? I'm thinking of trying some 3D home video with 2 cameras, and I was wondering if you had better results with cyan....better to know these things before ordering 100 pairs of glasses. :-)

The idea is very old. Didn`t Phenomena make a "3d glass" demo. And the first 3d glass movie is way old :)

Hmm,. where can I find such glasses? I think I will have to ask my friends. I have never seen a demo with 3d glasses. I think there were one or two (I only remember a 3d star scroller,. but I am wondering if it's possible to see it with little pixels ;P) but this one seems to be the first good intro for 3d glasses. I definitelly have to watch that. Liked the music too!
Oh,. hoho,,.. just remembered sometihng funny. Do you know the sterograms? Some wicked patterns, where if you look carefully inside and fuck up your eyes, you will see 3d objects from behind. I remember to have encountered a demo on Spectrum where you had to look inside stil wicked 1bpp patterns on your screen to see 3d! Where can I find that? I forgot it's name..

Luxo, we chose red/cyan because it is possible to have at least somewhat different colors with them. With red/green glasses, no color information remains.

gloom: I do that too! except I don't watch *demos* in the nude. well, you could consider them wild demos, I suppose... or some form of 'body crashing compo'.

Well, found my 3d-glasses and the intro was ok. However, some objects that was supposed to be in front of the screen went off screen in one or more directions, that kinda kills the illusion.

Ugly colors ("coder colors") and special hardware requirements nearly no one has (so they had to bring 3d supplementary hardware to the partyplace). And put this damn coil out of my face! =)

its all just good about this intro.
its nicely relaxing, weird colors as with the glasses should be and moody muzik + lots crammed into $ffff bytes.

I dont have or have access to 3d glasses. So the full effect of the demo is wasted here. But it is stylish as always from the fr boys'n'girls, the music is fair, and the idea is good fun. Rather psychedelic me thinks
according to fr this is heavilly under average. including the style, some abstract (crappy) shapes etc.
