That dragon mesh is kindof awesome, but the lighting/scene setup is a bit lackluster, and I think once you've seen enough of the mesh the novelty is a bit over - I don't envy the situation of trying to make something like this because it is a one-trick pony and the trick can only be stretched for so long, but I think with lighting tricks (shadows on the wall, non-revealing closeup on the scales - kinda like how the film did it) it could've been a much more interesting tension curve.
Great idea, but execution lacks a bit. What Gargaj said, plus the music could have been used to build more tension.

Urulókë Smaug the Golden. Weak thumb up. Music is kinda nice but dunno if fits here, would maybe rather hear some ambient sounds and coin sounds, if those can be done somehow :)
