Nice to see S!P producing again. Sadly, no way I'm going to pollute my system with plugins and shit.

What's this piece of shit?

It requires a plugin download, it's as ugly as you can get, it runs at 3 fps on an athlon 950, and you can see the buffer painting. you would be able to do this in java 60fps. And now i have to uninstall the stupid plugin, doh.

Do you give blowjobs to the people that thumb you up?

Please

Hi Mac, actually this is not a piece of shit it is a piece of code for a web based intro, and that's why you need the plugin. It seems that on PIII@1ghz it is a little slow too (but more than 3 fps anyway), but look... from now I'll test all my stuff on a lower machine before releasing anything. Meanwhile you can forgive me this time, we're sceners not flammers :)

Sorry, I apologize, shouldnt have used that language, was pissed off at the moment.

The production still sucks though. And requiring non standard plugins is a turn off. What's wrong with Java or superstar C# (or even flash, for what it matters)?

dear Mac :D

Alambik is a new kind of FLASH, much better, much more options, very tuff scriplanguage! It is coded by people of Razor Demo and people like Unreal/Sunflower, you should give Alambik Plugin a chance! It really is awesome! check it out at http://www.the-demo.com to see the future of webbased entertainment :D

thank you :D

Very strange, I have no real speed problems with this on my outdated pIII-450. Seems that demos love my machine or I have a different definition for real slowness.

Demos shouldn't be 'webbased entertainment', but imo Alambik is ok anyway

alambik sucks

just a side note, nobody is complaining anymore about installing flash plugin since it's been around so long. and so far about all the flash demos suck. i see much more potential in alambik if you want to do demos for websites and not willing to stick with flash or java.

as for this intro: with some nice music it could've been even enjoyable to watch. no i couldn't stand watching it for any longer than 10 seconds. :)

Alambik roXX big time! guys, arent you sick of lousy (lame) flash plugins, or sniffy Java? we have here an different style, an different language, an even more different code style, so what you will make yourself better? yes this is the new future, it beats up flash to times, imagine all the functions! and yes, very, yes, the intro rulezzz! , and melw, why to watch it longer than 10 seconds? as it is a short intro that we are back ;))))))

rofl this is crap
sucks added on the 2002-10-03 08:00:04 by Hatikvah Hatikvah
Oh and btw :
This is not a WEB production this is a browser-plugin thingy, a web production should be platform independant , java runs on most platforms nowadays alambik runs on only windows?

Oh and Alambik is kindof funny, its REALLY slow on my P3 1GHz but runs fast on my old machine.. Still alambik is pure crap, anyone could make their engines as plugins for IE/Netscape , but would that make it a webdemo? i think not!

stefan, shut up.

nuke, well i just happen to hate chipmusic. go ahead and sue me, but if a demo / intro / whatever has chipmusic i can't give it a thumb up (there happens to be around 10 chiptunes i really like). of course - like everything - this is a matter of taste.

nice2see S!P back! Amiga memories coming back :D<br> well... for this prod... I like it a lot, but it was slow on my peecee, so... the trick is... go to the display properties and put the color to 16bit depth, it runs damn fast and very smooth :)<br> the same happens here with flash prods, I always have to put the 16bit depth hahaha!

Nice, oldschool, software engine by Alambik, nothing new..

Now it runs.
No, I WON'T participate in the "Alambik vs. the world" argument, as I have quite a lack of knowledge about Alambik, but as I happen to like the intro, I think I can give a thumb.
rulez added on the 2002-10-14 00:57:01 by Gargaj Gargaj
duh! I just found it by mistake - is the ESC key some hidden part in your intro or what ? Another thumb up for you guys because I like surprises :)

duh! that proves you have not read all the 3D-shaded-gouraud-rotating-cubes-scrolltext-whatever-etc, it says (press ESC) :)

Nothing special.
Nice little piece. The chiptune is nifty and the camera movement makes this a little different. But too uneventful.
