Oh my god, loved this one. Sadly it competes against our entry in the same compo, but there is no shame loosing to a demo as polished like this. Great work.

Huge and dynamic "in-your-face" colourfull explosion of eye bursting awesomness.
Love the pixel arts, the dithered palette, the cube, the fast paced smoothness of quite frankly everything. don't have time to get bored and all scrolltexts are actually easy to read.
Music was a nod to Batman Begins at some points and hope this demo will have the same destiny.

Good one.. Jocking. I didn't read the nfo before running it, just I saw that incredible screenshot, I say myself, go find a CPC, select that new logo with CRTC 1 and make a coffee. All this colorfull demo in perfect fullscreen on the CTM-644-2 just amaze. The music as well, I loved the whistle part a lot.. Fantastic demo. Did you saw that plasma?? CPC FUCKING RULEZ!!

I was about to say that Condense had released stuff less than 15 years ago, but when I checked the released date for Barbitoric (in which Jylam participated - thus the Condense logo), it was indeed in 2003 :D

As a ZX Speccy fan, I must admit, this blow my socks off. Visuals and effects are outstanding. I am sorry for the music which I found an mediocre AY stuff, heared many times before.

A big amount of work and effects. Nothing to say more about the technical level, it was what I excepted from No Recess! Huge progress in CRTC's technics!
Imho rasters are sometimes too much and the Face Hugger's balls effect is not so interesting (or at least too long). But phX is a master-piece! Well done, guys!

I admit I never thought your demo would be as good as it is! I like the in-your-face effects, full screen, with a bit of an old-school touch with these rasters. The design is, as always with Ced, speechless. A great achievement.

Very polished and impressive demo. I am not a super fan of abusing of rasters, but most effects are really nice (especially in the last part) and the job to do that must have been huge. You can be proud of the result !

Besides awesome demo props for making a detailed note, every oldschool/newschool demo should have one.

For me the most kickass release on the party (and that's with some great competition)! Fave moment is the up to 3-effect-switching with the checkerboard and Alcatraz bars, but it's the complete barrage and music that makes it so swesome :)

Excellent demo. In truth it is the absolutely worst kind of oldschool imaginable (at heart), however, the idea to zoom into every single effect pays off and gives it a new, very modern quality.
Nice oldskool rasterised colours style, but indeed particularly finely scripted and synched.
Does that Zilog really work on 4MHz? ;-)

Great making-of writeup! Got me inspired to create some data-streaming/unpacking algorithm in our Amiga "demo system". Putting 64 MB RAM in the Amiga 1200 is becoming more common nowadays. Still it feels a bit lame to use that much memory when it could be avoided.

I'm having real trouble getting this to run on a real CPC 6128 (non-plus). Using flashfloppy v3.16 on a gotek as drive A or B with either the HFE or DSK image all I get is a black screen, the OLED display on the gotek says track 0, side 0.
The HFE image of Phortem works OK, except for minor music delays when reading the disk. Batman Forever runs just fine too. I have no expansion hardware other than the gotek plugged into the external FDD port, and all the RAM tests good. Does anyone have any ideas for troubleshooting? I'd really like to get this working on real hw.
