No doubt it's a classic. One of the best 64Kb PC intros of all time. It's cute, sounds good, runs smoothly, it's a great idea and fun to watch. I see no mistakes in this production.

Nice and fast cartoon rendering effect! :)

Great original intro by Statix+Vic
one of the classic of the pc's 64k. statix+vic.
jeea. they rocked with this little babe! :D

Good cartoon intro! Makes me feel like a child again. Oooh :-P
never ever will I forget the moment at wired when "paper" switched from 2d to 3d.
Great! An 64kb demo with great design/idea! And I always like 3d cartoon demos :)
Formidable !
wow! I really like the cartoon like style of this demo, I really love how the credits are shown ;D
a must see !!!
i love it !!!
anyway i wouldn't call it cartoon rendering, but rather 'pencil rendering' :)))

a miracle! (name one similar)
so cool
almost as good as clone meets clone. second best 64k of all times.
best 64k, must see, whatever, nobody ever will forget this
so sweet
simply lovely.
mmmmhhh ja.
perfect
A 64K classic.
The drawing is nice, and when it wakes up to life -> woow.
And I like the paperplanes :)
And I like the paperplanes :)
The drawing-pencil section is absolutely amazing. Total classic.
Thuuummbs!
This is really really really nice.
there can never be enough thumbs for this one :)
I wish i where at Wired 96.
vic and statix are a wonderfull team. i especially like the "behaviour animation"-part (though it's almost certainly fake :) with the paper-planes.
One of the best PC intros ever, a classic that is =) Must see.
Insert all above comments here. Hey, even Lator/stefan liked this one. =)
Paper Is excellent, and certainly an intro I will tell my grandchildren about!
thubs up!
Blew me away when i first saw this... (music was simply average but there was that something special in the prod itself)
Simply lovely and effective, even if I had no GUS the first time I saw it :D
yeee!
Now THIS is what i call creativity. The moment where the scenery began to move was SO cool at W'96
very good idea, the start scene rules a lot !!!
but the other effects (they are good) do not
fit the rest of the design and kill the thumb up to stay an ok prod imho

the part where the whole drawing comes to life is just too nice.. the paper airplanes own too :)
statix+vic super dynamic duo were just warming up ;)

Neat
A so great idea ! A definite classic in PC history.
A must see
Really cool. A real pity that I don't have a GUS, I'd really like to have heard Vic's music. I agree that some of the non-cartoonish scenes didn't fit so well, but fortunately they didn't manage to ruin this great intro.
my alltime favorite when it comes to 64k
DiamonDie: http://www.dc5.org/demodulate/download.php?id=222 :)
(and a thumb - wish I were there when everyone was making paper airplanes)

statix is the originallity-man
haven't commented this yet? thumbs up for the first demo with cartoon rendering (I think), and definitely a very goodloking implementation of it...
also, the scenes are cute, and so is the scene with the paper airplanes.

the idea is cool. I want to see more 2D - 3D switches in Demos
i remember my jaw dropping when the first 3D scene started to move :-)
all available thumbs up
whee, everything been said already :)
A real classic intro, always a good choice when you want to watch some good oldschool stuff :)
Amazing! I just love it =)
major respect :-)
this is soooo beautiful, i love this one, and can not believe i haven't commented this one yet. but here goes my thumb!!
Golden oldie. Done in the era when people still thought showing a torus or env. bumped chunk on of grid effect was enough. Luckily Statix showed the rest that you can actually be even innovative in demo making. Respect.
It has MUSIC? w00t!
First time I saw it I was already impressed by the time the scene became 3d... I was speechless.

A classic.
This is one of those times when there should be a triple-rulez vote. The music is every bit as good as the graphics and design, which knocked me flat on my ass the first time I saw it.
wow, Nice Intro
What a cool intro that was... Great music too!
I remember the precise moment when the camera moved into the scene that everybody thought was only pure 2D... Everybody at the party just went: "Wooow" and clapped... One of the best 64Kb ever...
yeah, this was a moment at Wired 96..!!!
I think all were stunned to see this.
This somehow also set a new limit since such things were never shown in 64k..

respect! great graphics and ideas, the drawing part is brilliant. no gus in here :( shame on me
raaaaah! and that was my first international party
outstanding... fuck that was 1996... oh shit... cannot believe
let's be explicit: big amount of genuine genious pure new ideas
really great production. I liked this very much back then
Absolutely brilliant!
Oh yes, absolutely brilliant indeed. And it works under DOSBox! Still better than most intros around. I go "ooh" every time the drawing starts to move
Hello, I would like one creative please. Thank you. Hey, dude, you gave me like 4 creative. Really? I can have them? SWEET!
Very very nice. Works almost perfectly in DOSBox too ;)
One of "not the best but shocking" intro 4ever !
surely part of my fave 64k list :)
sweet
That was something, yes.
This ROCKS! Total classic, crashed my BBS HD but I had a GREAT time at Wired!
And it works great with DOSBox! Woot!!!

This intro blew my mind when I first saw it. The second time around, i got a bit bored. Still a damn good prod, and still quite unique.
this is a damn good intro. i have no clue why isn't it famous...
This is the intro that astonnished me the most! I have to download it and see it again to see if it still has this much impact nawadays!! I loved it so much!
It was so freakin' cool when it came to move. Wow...
paper planes!
a classic.
Marvelous intro by Psychic Link !

oh, this was really, really, really really, really, really, *really* nice! :)
possibly my all time favourite 64k ever
- Definitively Lovely -
Best Statix 64k prod IMHO (the only?), very good code & Great idea.
The last time I saw this I had a P133 with GusEmu32. Going to try it with With DosBox now on my P4 2,4GHz!

i loved it back then
An interesting (early) interview with Statix.
jo
obviously rulez
I was amazed with this demo on my first pc 486 DX 33
Can't believe I never commented on this one. Loved it when I first saw it back then, loved it when I watched in dosbox last night. Great stuff.
Fantastic, great way the planes fly and some really excellent music in this one too - furthermore this I believe was one of the first productions to used interpolated grids.
brilliant.
sick
One of the first intros I saw, and one of the few I remember from that time :)
Wow, great intro in 1996!!
great some stuff.
excellent music, great idea.
but, too short.
but, totaly awesome.

one of the biggest 'omfgwtf?!'-moments of my demoscene life 8)
Killer intro. Respect.
very good!
Very stylish with great ideas!
I watched it twice without a break.:)
simply cool
Wonderful moment when the drawing comes to life :-)
k.
cute and rather coherent design for 1996
Thumb up of course.
I just saw this today for the first time ever and it totally rocks! Stunning intro!
A real classic.
Sorry for being 10 years late with this thumb. Productions like this made me feel comfortable with the PC when the Amiga was still my number one computer. Actually I think this one beats the crap out of most other productions regardless of platform. Definitely in my all time top 10!
cute
Very impressive "shaders" :D
Really nothing special. The intro effect is quite cool, but the rest leaves a lot to wish for. I suppose, it was fine back then, but I have to give my own contemporary vote.
kicks ass
this was the demo that really hooked me into the scene. an inspired little 64k that even managed to run on every pc i tried it on without having to spend ages pissing around in autoexecs and configs. bliss. and with the style and subject it's something that even non-sceners could enjoy in 1996. still one of my favourites
just a thumb.
Very charming!
It's really nice watch stuff like this on a old PC.
Timeless classic
classic, really cool
classic
lovely <333
I thought I had already commented on this one.
One of the biggest wow-factors in my whole scene life, even if I had no GUS when I first saw this. Statix always means creativity.

great idea and what alpha c said
good one
I never thumbed this? damn! One of my first real 'goose bump moments' in the scene!
Classic
true jewel
Very nice, although i don't really dig mid-90's scenemusic (with few exceptions)
stunning. wonderful for its age, awesome for being 64k (and DOS!).
Actually.. the concept isn't far from "Little Big Planet" :)
Srsly, one of the best 64k's on any platform ever!
real rulez
Bloody hell this is really cool. Runs nice in Dosbox.
The soundtrack is far from impressive but the code is awesome. Nice feeling. A bit short though, but then again this is a 64k from 1996 ;).
One of the first really outstanding PC 64ks
The design innovation in the beginning is worthwhile, even though the show later decays to standard 1990s 64K intro stuff.
I remember when i first saw this... what a bloody revelation!...
A classic.
A classic.
that needs another thumb!
:)
this will never get old :)
I loved it! :)
An amazing piece of code from 90's. Instant classic, instant thumb up.
Real cool intro!
hmm, classic already
What Gargaj said
I remember this fondly... Statix!
Purely made of awesome!
here is my thumb!
i'm late with thumbing i know. a milestone.
oh shit this old classic unthumbed!
I found it as good and stylish.
Excellent!
Brilliant.
The transition to 3D really blew me away at the time. A milestone indeed for pushing rendering styles.
Konge!
good
true beauty!
all said.
i like it
Too short but enjoyable. Love the hand drawn style. Dosbox approved.
I'll never forget the "... ooOOOoohhh ..." among people watching the demo when paper scene comes to life at start.
!
Awesome FX!
Still awesome - esp for 64k!
Long forgotten thumb up!
rulez so much
ossom
damn, it needs GUS :(
^ DOSBox it :)
This was probably the first 64K demo that actually blew my mind as it was so mind boggling when I first saw this back in the days!
Paper on the screen comes to life. Stunning.
just superb
Classic!
Creativity!
Fun concept executed flawlessly. What's not to like?
classic
I wonder what I'd have thought if I saw the 3D transformation in '96. It's impressive even now.
juuuuust right
That was nice.
Yes, one my favorite 64k's back in the 90s!
have forgotten to thumb this one up
i think it's great!!!^ω^
Yep, this one was very excited even without music (noGUS) back in time...
cute
cassic
I think i saw this >20 years ago. I am re-watchimg it now and i think it is excellent.
A timeless classic. Only a few demos impressed me as much as this did.
I'll always remember the WOW moment when the paper scene went 3D during the compo show.
Classic!
Loved this when it came out.
