cheap. looks beautiful -'cept for some too low-poly stuff-, and the tune is good. but still feels cheap.
Can't say that it was worth the download. I would've prefered to lose the vocals and pack what was left into 64k.

The music is very nice technically speaking but I don't like the sort. That's my taste speaking here. The graphics/textures are very nice as usual for haujobb prods and the modeling was good. The code seems ok too, but a higher resolution would help greatly, since artifacts appear even when you use anti-aliasing.
Finally, the whole religious feel did not appeal to me, sorry. Again, that's a matter of personal preferance. And it felt rather weird with that music... But it is rather different design-wise, which is always a good thing.

damn , jesus freaks! this is even worse than 'toys' from gods. i'm sure sure it was a lot of work to create this demo, but it was misguided energy. i don't know what i hate more: the christian symbols which are presentet in such a kitschy tv-church way that even jehovah’s witnesses wouldn't like it, the fact that it is just one scene in a 3d player or the terrible music.

Holy crapola. I couldn't even watch this all the way through. Boring movements, simple modeling, silly religion theme, and I don't know what to say about the music.

You should have made some faster camera changes in the third quarter part... It's too slow paced. But I like the music a lot and the graphics are great (except the windows). Thumbs up for the song.

The Nvidea Gothic Chapel (mentioned above) is great, but also the VR Notre Dame is worth downloading (http://www.vrndproject.com/)
i simply don't like it. the overall impression sucks, and when it has stopped sucking, it somehow sucks again. however, a lot of effort was put in the modelling.
Why didnt you just render the demo in a 3d program?

Like Adrenalin, I admire all the 3d modelling effort.. and the effort for the music as well. But, there's only one scene, it's too slow-paced (like beyond said), and the vocals are too loud (and unfitting at times), drowning out the rest of the demo. Not being a church-goer, I can't say the theme touched me either :).

weasel, if you'd actually read the credits (or the adjusted credits listed here) you'd know the music is not ripped.
Well, and if you'd read my post here more closely you would have recognized that I ended this sentence about the music with a '?' (=questionmark! :-) ) ...as I didn't remember if there was any credits given for the music or better if the credits given were scene-related or just from a 'commercial performer'... ;-)

So, well, superb modelling of course (except the low-poly-angel), code seems to be ok too, but as mentioned by others, the music just pushes the whole thing in a wrong direction and basically doesn't fit.

boxow said it before, this one looks good but is a bit slow and it's hard watching it all through without turning the music up lound (to not fall asleep, I liked HJB's previous demos a bit more)!

i saw a preview of this demo some time ago and i'm glad to see that the music has changed a bit, for the better. :) however; it's still a bit static and boring, albeit pretty. stuff like this doesn't really go down as a "demo" in my book. i miss the purple bouncing spheres and the slab-bass samples of 1995. :)

I like flybys; I like well painted graphics with coherent colour-schemes; I like watching large 3d interiors gliding smoothly over my screen, and I like harmonic and emotive soundtracks.

the soundtrack is indeed cheesy and pop, but it's very well-mastred and sounds really professional.. quite a lot of attention also went into modeling, no doubt (well, maybe nVidia's gothic chapel demo is still cooler, but whataheck).
the message is ..unusual for the scene, that's for sure, but I don't think it's supposed to be understood as an straightforward religious/christian propaganda. all those 'goa-demos', that have pictures of shiva and those 'aum'-signs or whatever, that's kinda religious content too, you know... and still, people seem to like goa-demos and think that praying to shiva or whoever else is hip, and being a christian is boring and lame. note: I'm an atheist. 8}

I don´t like flyby demos anymore. But for some reason I can´t tell, I love this demo, and it is one of my favourites. Maybe it´s the music, who knows?
