ok, nice. But the SNN scene is a bit too long.

Great, finally a decent c64 demo again.
Lot's of refreshing ideas, humorous design and nifty music. Some more "real" effects would have been nice, but anyway, worth watching.

This demo was 1st in the demo competition at the Role Party 2002 (can you actually edit a production once it's added?).
Yes, the SNN scene is rather long, but that part is the main point of the demo - I guess it's called Padua humor ;-)

Original idea, nice look
Microsoft jokes and boring code almost makes it retro. A typical Padua demo.
Puterman:
Too bad if you can't relate to our humor... However you might be right about the 'retro' part, if such a thing exists at all, since the ideas for most of this are about 3 years old ;-)
It's true that we have used similar style before, but to me the animation part with the newsspeakers as well as the hypnosis part are truly original and even after seeing this so often, I am still pretty amazed by Vip's graphic.
It's however a pity that you consider all our demos boring, especially the code. I am wondering what type of code you consider 'entertaining'?
A bit more constructive criticism would be appreciated.
Thanks,
/Frank

c64 coders with feathers stuck up their asses :)
Oh, I just adore seeing Puterman getting "annoyed" by everything scene related that doesn't brings him a philosofical-artistic soul-revolv, or whatever he enjoys instead of looking it as a C64 product with A LOT of work behind it...
Yep Anonym, next time we should put in few childish sentences about spring and politics and Puterman will be surely satisfied.
Damn why I am wasting my time anyway?
PADUA ROCKZZ MAJOR C64 ARSES!!! <- that's all I wanted to say...

Jailbird: I'm not annoyed, I'm just stating my opinion about the demo. You seem a little bit annoyed yourself, though.
padua does it again. it takes alot of guts to make fun of bill gates and its really cool that you attack all those pc demos that are filled with thoruses. but seriously, it seems like its not only your demo style that hasnt been updated during the last 8 years. but since its well performed my verdict is: OK
Puterman: Sorry, but from your demos I've seen till now thought you have much more intelligence than stating such two sentences that you, by any reason, call an "opinion".
No harm, and I'm not annoyed neither.

Hollowman: Yeah, I guess we are pretty oldskool to some extend - at least some of our productions, thanks for the ok, though.
JB: Actually we had some additional discussions via email where Puterman was so kind to emphazise his points, about what he disliked - and it's ok that he did, and I agree on one thing that most demos lack today (especially on the c64):
Continuity, one theme and better coordination with the music. (One would call it a "roter Faden" in German.)
And I guess after 13 years of Padua on the c64 we should have finally learned, but unfortunately it always takes us about 3-5 years to finally realize and release an idea ;-)

Hmm... easy jokes, but the ideas were executed pretty well.
