whoah what a memory... The first "nice-looking" bobs of the Amiga history ;-)
This was the first demo i saw on the Amiga and it still rates as a classic. The anims on the demons and the transformations, the exceelnt soundtrack and the way it just hangs together...
watched it manymany times back in 1988... legendary demo - legendary group !
The word "legendary" isn't enough for this one. :)
my first amiga demo. wow now i'm 20 years in the scene... i'd been on c64 and vic20 before tho. OMG :D

A true classic!
awesome beyond words! so many happy memories.. ahhh =)
classic
Classic indeed, and enjoyable too, except for the music.. I know it's an ultra-classic st-01 by Frog but.. No. Somehow it's just ugly. But thumbs up for sure!
Woot? Didn't thumb up this classic masterpiece yet? Shame on me!
Oldschool nostalgia!! :)
wheee!
When I saw this intro, I wanted to sold my Atari ST to buy Amiga :)
But after some days of reflexions, was better to do the same or better on Atari ST :P
The thought of this demos is still in my mind and I am still listening to the great MOD....

classic
One of the very first demos I saw and an inspiration for some of my first basic crap on C64 (8 sprite balls flying around in sines at about 2 fps :))
Oh my...and the scrolltext is a classic! :D
sigh
Also copied very directly to ST in the Cuddly Demos by the Carebears: video
Missed thumb, an all time classic.
tracker music
red balls sprites moving around the screen in sine paths
checkers floor moving
background mountains and rasters sky
scroll font
4 raster bars vu-meters at the top

Brilliant!
1988
Countless hours watching this, waiting for the special command in the scrolltext that activated the bob key-controls! (A lower-case "k", if I remember correctly… First good use of the ol' Action Replay)
Definitely part of the demo history ! Used to watch it for hours in a computer shop where some Amiga were displayed
When they say something is "old as balls," these are the balls they're talking about. I don't know how I got this demo, but I did. In those days, the idea of being able to watch a demo in a motor vehicle was humorous!
Time to thumb this up, balls still look fresh and nice
A really nice intro with some nice effects.
One of the most classic Amiga demos
Certainly feels like they are.
Classic masterpiece.
Just found this in the game Cybernoid:
Quote:
THE HIDDEN MESSAGE, HI DOC NICE SPRITE ROUTINE I JUST LOVED THE BALLS.....PHONE ME ON (0903) 47548 - THATS ENGLAND O.K. BYE BYE..... TONY COOPER
Very nice oldschool demo indeed. I wish I would be older to have experienced that time first hand
Racist jokes in demos just sucks. Should be deleted from pouet.
Quote:
Racist jokes
Good grief, teens in the 80s being edgy ... move along
Classic thumb!
Better to delete everything right now, who knows what will be offensive in 30 years.
Serpent: The word "nigger" wasn't offensive 30 years ago? Interesting. I probably never stop learning.
Delete history as if it never happened? Good grief..
D4XX... I think you are old enough to remember that yes, in 1988 the term wasn't thought to be even remotely as offensive as it is today.
The first time I saw an Amiga, it was running this demo. At the time I had a C128 with a B&W monitor and a PC XT with an amber screen and no sound card. I was blown away.
This demo + the Amiga in general changed the way I saw computers and what they can do, and changed my life.
33 years later, I'm still tinkering with Amigas. Whenever I look at a sunset or sunrise, I think about the gradations in this demo. I'm an IT professional... all of this is, in part, due to this demo.
