Wow, actually some interesting articles in Pain. The news section with all the lame Hugi dissing was a bit lousy though.

hugi dissing in the news section is kind of running gag in pain ;-) for a reference just read the old pains..
whatever dissing means anyways ;-) it's of course just kind of joke. not meant seriously, regular pain reader know it.
thumps up. the music is boring. the font is pain in my eyes (white on black). but the articles and interviews are good. btw: monostep.org is not a "demoo competition" site ;)

first time I ever read a diskmag. Interesting read, fun articles. Makes me wish even more I could be part of the scene and the parties, but I'm stuck in the US.

Good mag. I had the music on loop even when I wasn't reading it! Good articles, and lots of demo and party reviews (note to Hugi: you need more new-release reviews!). I wish there were more interviews of PC groups/sceners. At least there weren't (as many) "Amiga rulez, PC suxx!" articles in a PC mag this time. :) The "jobs" article was a funny diversion. The sound effects are a bit loud compared to the music. The load pic was nice; the title pic was a bit cheezy, but not gratuitous or offensive or anything.
(and guys, if you need more votes, just ask for them on ojuice when you're about to release a new issue! People like me are gonna forget otherwise)

I've spend 30 minutes on the latest Hugi issue, but several HOURS on this one. Many interesting articles here, nice background music and graphics, only the font looks a bit cheap, but so what. Great mag!

btw, i've heard a rumor that MFX will offer some booze to calodox at boozembly and that calodox will offer some booze at buenzli and that ex-Haujobb will offer some booze at evoke and that MFX will offer... oh, everything is turning and turning again :)

pain proves one again that it's the DAMN BEST pc diskmag of today. i leeched it already when i was on UC and i had real fun reading it. expect some articles from me soon, especially a counteraction to zito's article about the "death of the ascii scene".
it's not a rumour that mfx will offer booze to people at boozembly. it will happen. there will be about 50 litres of potemkin this year...

potemkin is the mfx wine, with something like 10-20% of alcohol. we also have mfx molotov, which has 85-95% of alcohol. theres also a watered down vodka version of molotov with 40% of alcohol.
PAiN is my favorite PC diskmag for sure.
didnt read whole issue yet but it seems to be quite small anyway.. and news article is actually tiny considering how much is hapening in nowadays scene.
i think it could be still much much better :)

I read it and I have to say it contains some good articles, definetely many more than Hugi 25... and I'm glad to see Pain back to a sensible size :)
