Anyway, this was really fun to watch and hat a certain distinct style. And it was one of the few intros to unleash the full power of the Mode-Y fake truecolor mode. Long before VBE2 was fashion.

After Dope, I had huge expectations from Complex, and I was "sort of impressed" by this intro, I think :), when we first saw the Asm95 entries at the Mini-Impulse party (in the USA). Other than Cosmic Bros, this was when they started trying new, abstract things, so you won't see any phong donuts or effect-boxes here :). The music continues the dramatic style of Dope, but more ambient and chippy. :) And of course, as kb mentioned, it uses the 18-bit fakemode, which gave it and many other demos at the time that great "TV" feel :).

Damn well executed intro. It did have really weird bugs on my old machine (hangs in the first two seconds, a reboot helped at random intervals) but IT WAS WORTH THE EFFORT :)

Beautiful. Lovely ambient soundtrack, subtle yet effective design, and the fakemode gave it a look that really stood apart from the standard blocky VGA 13h.
