it's funny that smash gave a small insight to his tool in the revision seminar with this exact example : woman from a video emitting particles ;) but even "knowing" how it was scheduled in the toolchain, it looks and sounds simply amazing =)

Haunting. I felt the vocal part to be a tad cheesy to be honest. There was much more expression in the instrumental section. Gorgeous nevertheless, just brutal.

Hellmood: except that in the seminar it was all 2d and a totally different technique, this is 3d, emitting from 3d not video, and about 1000x more particles. But isn't that visually obvious? :)

I see in this demo a human that is an actor of the demo, not an object. And the lyrics goes well with that I think. However on Zarahustler it is just objectifying, oppressive and sexist presentation of female. There is a difference.
I want to give this a thumb, but I kinda feel it's kinda just showing off they can make a lot of "particles." Really good looking ones, but still. There's not much else. I also don't get the arrows... I guess they're to show some sort of convection, but why arrows?

Very beautiful. I spent a bit too much time worrying about the short particle life in the effect in the early scenes, but I guess it allows you to pump more volume into the center areas.... and whenever I watch it I fall in love with it when the vocals kick in, so a definite thumb

My problem with the vocals on gloom's tracks as well. I mean, I don't think they are (typically at least) straight from any libraries, but the impression is the same nevertheless.
This demo is the best on Revision, it has contrast and surprise, the musical pit before vocal part is perfect for surprise ;). I want more music by Gloom any links?

The music is great, and I fell in love to her voice...but why the sudden end? I was considering a piggy for that, but that is a shitty reason to piggy this otherwise great demo :)

What's up with all you people insisting on musical numbers ending in a giant crescendo or a fade out? The ending is the best part sonically. It leaves you wanting more.

So. As one would expect from CNCD vs. Fairlight, the visual quality is gorgeous. The stream didn't really do the details justice here, there's quite some pixel-perfect detail.
Artistically, it starts off great (I was super-excited during the compo showing), and then… for me, it never really starts going from there. It feels like some sort of introduction which stops off several times. By the time the vocals start (which didn't really touch me in any way), I've already lost track of what it tries to say.

Soundtrack ist just out of this world. For me it's the best tune of 2016 for sure. Would give the whole thing a cdc because of that if I could.

Amazing soundtrack and I love how the song hangs in the air even after it finishes. I actually like the fact that the video does not try to show 10 different "scenes". It is personal and touching. It has staying power.
