It is simple, but it is very cleverly done and it never loses the thread of what it is trying to achieve. An excellent example of design over circumstances. For example, the slow C64-like fade/transition at the start screen is really unexpected in a BASIC demo. Cool work.
I have no idea about the platform, but this prod makes me wonder about its BASIC's capabilities. Cool!

though, since a lot of folks are saying "should have won" (and ignoring "corruption" accusations which I obviously can't make any meaningful sense of and so have no idea how true they are), I think comparing the two I would have voted for the winner due to better music and more memorable graphics (and I'm not talking about the ass!).
I also think this one could have been a quarter or half the length with the same amount of effects and been more enjoyable.
