entertaining demo is entertaining.
I want to meet this 'Ash Checksum' guy. Must be a genius!
what sense said =)
top quality shit!
im ready now
First proper vaporwave demo, great analog video processing.
.
it had the potential but not the delivery
is ok
Just the right amount of cheese in this :D
I totally dig this kind of tribute to Magi-Synthavision!
Love. Vaporwave and VHS. Ahhhh.
oh crap, did i thumb this down? i meant to thumb it up. :/
I do like vaporwave but this did not cut it for me. sorry.
Style.
I like it :)
(Not sure why it did not exit, had to kill it, space, escape or mouse click did nothing, did I miss something?)

Videocassette FTW!!
Top notch!
Great soundtrack! But really, a demo must exit on ESC.
I'd really like to have the soundtrack, just without the noise :) pretty please?
I feel like eating a bag of gummy bears at once after watching this :-)
Video please.
So, it's not the 'e' key, which stand for 'exit', the 't' key, which stand for 'terminate', the 'a' key, which strand for 'abort', the 'c' key, which stands for 'cancel', the 'h' key, which stands 'halt', the 's' key, which stands for 'stop', the 'd' key, which stands for 'discontinue', the 'l' key, which stands for 'leave', the "b" key, which stand for "break', the 'f' key, which stands for 'finish', the 'k' key, which stand for 'kill'?
It's nice to know that it's none of them, not even the standard key to quit since it was invented by Bob Bemer in 1960, the ***ESCAPE*** key! lol ;)

I just get a blank "TV" screen with the music playing, cap it pls.
ps. the 'q' to quit is ingenious.
pps. the vhs noise is what _makes_ the soundtrack.

Cool concept but could have used a bit more work.
I like how the music really sounds like something from a 80's infomercial. An obvious thumb up!

Yeah, music is very good imho. It's like business funk on degraded VHS.
Ooooh, that style.
What maali said. Love the music and the concept and some of the scenes, but overall it could've had more cheese to it. And maybe a bit more salt to the cheese.
Nice style, great music.
Cute one, very well executed music. It's too bad you broke off the 80s aesthetic with the standard Photoshop blending effect logo and demo-overalys which loooked a lot more 1998 than 1985. Still definite thumbs up.
looks nice, sounds cool
totally love it!
the CRT emulation is different than mine because you focused more on the VHS poor quality than the screen, but it render really fine :D
really nice music too!

Loved it! Best fake-VHS visuals I've seen in a executable.
The one thing that really bugs me here is the use of VHS tracking glitches as scene transitions - a creator in 1985 wouldn't have done that as a design choice, so it breaks the illusion that we're watching an authentic video from an alternate universe (where a mid-80s audience would have been shitting themselves at the futuristic visuals)...
Nitpicking aside... this is a gorgeous bit of kitsch. The music is absolutely spot on.

Cheesy but Zero Cool.
Loved it! Nailed the style and vibe - very enjoyable!
Yep this is really well conceived and executed, just wish it was a tad bit longer :)
Love it :)
美少女ゲーム
A final with more scenes and fixed to work on more machines, please. Music's great yo. :)
This was very entertaining. Great concept! :)
Lovely!
The good cheese!
no way
Decent. Nice concept and well executed.
I shitted my pants when I saw this in the compo. EXCELLENT prod. I can fap to this whole day long.
lovely!!
I actually like this concept, and the music is great, but it lacks finesse that makes me actually believe in the concept and commit to it. The fonts for example: too modern, too crisp. It's "a small thing", but it breaks the illusion for me.
It's the future, but now!
Love the idea as well as the execution. Sure there are some nits to pick (the music detuning is almost a little too much/too often for my taste), but there are so many more things done right -- e.g. the font in the CRYSTALCIPHER screen was spot-on!
Excellent! :)
Good idea and sticks to the concept.
Appreciate the style, appreciate the vision, appreciate the music, the music, the music.
thumbs for the vhs-quality. but short.
This is a thumb from the past, from when I had a NVIDIA card - as ATI only makes a minimalism remix of this prod.
Idea is cool, along with the tune <3

Hack The Planet!
Wow, 9 Mb file size, ten times smaller than an average modern demo! You are real hackers from 80s! ;)
very nice demo!
cheesy nostalgia, very vaporwave. probably my favourite from the compo.
Fucking perfect.
nice one! the result was worth making it
And the soundtrack is so realistic that it even has the carrier signal built-in!
My favourite at the partyplace.
This Demo Is Good And Cool!
It Is Also Extremely My Shit
real neatness. soundtrack anywhere?
good idea, but slightly overdone in the effect strength and underdone in how much the idea was explored
Very well done!
great great music
and great overall
and great overall
haha, really cool! only the font is not particularly 1980s...
Piggy. Great idea, but only decent execution.
awesome style!
feels like an early 90's demo on today's platform, feels old and modern at the same time. very good!
Absolutely perfect.
Lovely although the quality of the graphics seems too good for the time.
Hehe
Not a valid Win32 application error in my very old, updated Windows XP Pro SP3 box. :(
Anyways, it was OK on YouTube. :/

fresh!
Fascinating. The wonder-future of the 1980s... Today!
It felt quite authentic to me. Made me watch old Urheiluruutu's so at least something was done right.
For that felling (music and gfx-wise) that it was recorded from an 80s video tape
Great! The rare case where glitches are handy and are just the same as they must be. The rest of the compo was just filled with noise without purpose.
I like it!
full of style and fun to watch!
Great idea, nicely executed.
Thanks for this retro back 1980 VHS demo !

Awesome :)
that's right, thank you for your hard work <3
very fun :)
okish but too short..
Quite some great music!
rEwLeZ!
great crt-simulation
should have won!
Great stuff!
Nailed the look of the vintage 3D renderings.
Some of the scenes aren't as authentically 80s/90s as they could be. Otherwise it nails a lot of stuff. Awesome stuff!
This is likeable.
Wow, so much details, the sound design is as good as graphics.
The tune oozes cheese from every pore, I have to love it.
Made a looping version of the soundtrack, happy endless listening! demotape.it (24.1MB)
nice
what everybody else already said.
Good one, though my appetite for this retro stuff is fading.
Nuff said.
:')
財政難 改修進まず
very cool! too short though..
Great concept! Short and sweet too.
Although not without it's problems, the music distortion really sells this for me. Fucking ace work!
VHS is the future!
captures the atmosphere perfectly..
groovy
feels good
What a wonderful demo! Love the concept, the fitting music, the details, it's fantastic! Only thing I didn't like was the last scene, which stood out and didn't fit to the rest. But that's a minor quibble.
Lovely!
Lovely!
Very entertaining :)
This is some real Vaporwave style, just the way it is intended to be.
BTW, can we get the song without the distortion over it, because it sounds really nice. Pretty please?

VHS quality stuff
What TomoAlien said! We want the song without distortion :)
80's :)
nice!
Nice
tune was good
Really like this demo, though I'm not into vaporwave. Works perfectly on Wine 1.9.20 on Linux. And a non-limited, non-distorted version of the soundtrack would be wonderful, completely agree with TomoAlien.
80's rock
The distortion IS part of the song!
Awesome style, design and music.
this one gets better with time
i really, really, Really wanna know who is the genius who made the song :) it's on loop at least once a month here
2015: why does it exists and why do people like it?
2019: wew, nice concept. not a fan of this type of sound, but it's perfectly connected with the visual stuff. crystal cipher is the best part for me

This is just so genious. Absolutely love the music and raytraced graphics in particular. Wonderful job you did :)
Ok better later than never ! but I love this demo ! :)
i'm in love with the 80s feel and the music vibe :)
