btw. i remember there was also amanaman2, where can i get it?
my hd?
i'll get it from there then.
Not your average 1994 demo :)
Run from DOSBox, this kicks ass, even if it won't run on any actual hardware I have kicking around (hangs without GUS present). It doesn't exit to DOS, be prepared to hit RESET once the demo finishes.
Also, it's up on YouTube as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rh3oten5lEg

kicks ass!
Allow me to elaborate... really cool tribal theme and the static is synced to the tune. High quality sampling going on here and stereo effects are used.
Nitpick is in one of the earlier scenes where the guys head spins then bounces the screen and spins again then it shows the amamanman logo the spinning stops when it bounces to the screen but the music continues. Once the amanaman logo shows up the demo resumes just fine. I tried this on a real pentium 2 and a pentium 1 166 MMX and both did it in the exact same spots. Tried pure DOS with no EMM386, with EMM386, UMBPCI, etc. etc. Not sure what the deal is, but just thought you should know.
Other nitpick is no exit and crashes at the end.
Beyond that shit, fucking awesome. Kicks ass.

@nosfe from 12 years ago: Amana2.zip is the second disk. I found some version of this floating around on a BBS that had it split into separate diskettes.
Got an UltraATA controller? Is your HDD that hosts this demo file on that controller? Then it won't load after the Vector Demo fake out. I have no idea what it's trying to hook, but this is what happens :(
wtf, only discovered this one today. pretty trippy
just saw it for the first time and I consider it awesome :)
