i have no idea why, but i like it.
In order to get the proper experience I explicitly disabled vsync in the driver.
also what las said
osome
Awesome ride.
I kinda wish there was an additional alternative version without the "twitching", but even without that... wow, just wow.

Nice ending.
B0000m!
Not for me. At first I found the noise to be good looking, but it quickly became tiresome. Good ending though.
Quite a trip! Certainly something I'd watch again, which is more then enough reason for a thumb-up. The music worked great with the visuals IMO, and really enhanced the experience.
Wow, first it runs smooth on my old laptop.
Then, I'd like this to have different scenes.
But it was interesting, and the sudden last scene boosted this up.

A bit too sgeneboetry and nothing too amazing but nice enough, pleasantly fucked up soundtrack
missing epilepsy warning. it's pretty ugly and farts bit and byte sounds. but wtheck... why not?!?
Nice tune, and that's pretty much it.
Holy shit, this demo just blew my mind out the fucking window and back.
The intensity in this is mesmerizing.

bra skit!
what zavie said
whoa
This was so fucking cool
The ending is massive, but it's way too stale up to that point. Still quite enjoyable, though.
A strange blend of influences, starting more traction-like and ending deep in mfx territory.
Overall I feel there's way too much stressful shaking and not enough actual visual impact.

I. Loved. This!
Hardcore. Soundtrack is powerful, the sparse visuals and grainy glitches look great. Could live without the text but it's not that important.
yikes :/
This was awesome. Too short.
messy.
My oh my, it lacked variance for me, too random. I like it though, the Danny Boyle film "Sunshine" came straight to mind for some reason. Good concept and execution and sound engineering.
variance on a common theme I mean.. i think, err my retinas are burnt or smth.
easily the best demo in the entire competition. big up!
Good it's so awesome!
Hmm, based on the comments and screenshot I expected to enjoy it a lot more than what I actually did... Will have to re-watch it a couple of times I guess..
youtube?
Hmm, left me with no idea what to say about it.
I guess i wait for a video and watch again then, as on my ATI HD5870 it just gave me headaches, tearing, v-sync-probs, whatever.

Eyes blown. Ears blown. Mind blown.
What Revival said, but I'm not satisfied.
Psycho stuff. Normally I don't like this style, but this demo is awesome and brainfucking. And what Optimus said: Because there is no video at the moment, I tried this on my 6 year old Pentium4 with ATI X1950 and it worked great.
Massive thumb for kick ass soundtrack and flawless sync! I'm a sucker for that, you know ;)
What blala said.
ugly and depressing.
Cherri, enough of the self-critiquing already, did you like the demo?
well, i'm depressed but i don't think i'm ugly :)
and i didn't like this demo.
and i didn't like this demo.
youtube-link for all us mac people please
Still waiting for new Preacher demo's with quality like fairytale or Challenger deep. but than longer, better, improved. ;)
Nice one!
beautiful and uplifting.
How about a version with a vsync option?
streng
oh. fucking wow! massive thumb!
If you ever start a religion, I'm going to be your first apostle.
I don't really like the syncing of the first 2 parts, but the soundtrack and the climax turns it into something, my English is not sufficient to praise enough. One of the more interesting pieces of the last years.

Ah, what blala said. I want to watch it at work.
wow i totally didnt expect such a noisy/glitchy style from preacher, the beat cought me totally by surprise.
very interestint direction, almost perfect flow but a bit more variation (in the scenes, not the glitch) would have made it a lot better.
very strog democompo at function, you just have to love all of em.

Eh, it was OK. Nice Bible verses though. ;)
summoning annikras 1 2 3 - Anni, please make a video of this! thanks!
I have a hard time to make up my mind about this one. Music is really cool and fits well, visuals and sync are quite nice too. However, I found myself bored after a while for some reason.
You've got Bible message right: the book is full of psychedelic and noise :)
Massive.
Are these just dlp artifacts or is it supposed to look like that? ;D
preacher: I hope you do a final version. that music deserves way more!
mrdoob: Take a look in the data dirs, you can practically make the final yourself :)
Great atmosphere and visuals, but... for my taste it should have featured more scenes. It's just a tad boring in the end.
preacher: tempting... :)
mrdoob/preacher: I strongly support this venture!
BLASPHEMY! That this was only 5th place :) Just might be the best demo this year.
a bit too shaky on the visual-side for me (the YT capture confirms it was not my machine)
but boy, what a ride! The intensity in each part and the construction/progression...
great and unique work

Preacher goes unclex. Massive!
For some obscure reasons, I like it. :)
Only one thing, the "random jumping noise" anoys me.

excellent! i like the fragile look (object, font) and even the chaotic soundtrack.
among the best releases in 2013, i'd say.

this is SO SO GOOD!!!!!!! best demo-thing i've seen in a long while. the soundtrack is vinyl-worthy (i would play it!), the visuals and the synch are gorgeous. instant coup de coeure.
Headache!!
Mind blown!
Nice effects, but to me it feels like trying to be mfxish or visualicish, and fails. Visuals are too sharp , glitches don't feel random enough and the sync is not good enough.
Very nice stuff, especially the last sounds+visuals
watched this more than 10 times now.
also checked the youtube video. but it doesn't deliver because of the heavy pixel/color changes, so the sync effect get's somehow lost.
to get the best effect watch it in realtime with vsync on.

i missed the epilepsy warning a bit. nice suggestive tune
I rather like this one!
well, before this demo I wasn't epileptic...
Fucking fantastic.
well deserved 5th.
bzzzzzz
massiveness
i feel the power of the tabernacle
Simply awesome !
unfortunately this does not deliver. mood is great, sound is great but the visuals are not my cup of tea. oink.
Okayish i would say. but visuals are pretty bland and uninspired.
yes!for the mood it was heading to...
ART!
And I'm happy I had not to watch this on the bigscreen.

hurt my eyes but looks pretty cool
Again, what a fucking masterpiece!
