Neat
great result for the small amount of data involved :)
Hahahahha how funny. Complaining how sphere tracing is dead when the same thing is done here. >_>
Nice code btw.
Nice code btw.
nice :)
Your spiky ball rocks ! Question : how much time did it take to do that ? i have the feeling this thread (while not being the same technique as this intro) was the origin/impulse of that thing am I right ?
nice one
one more thumb for the lasblob ;D
Go las! Unique model and concept.
lasblob
:)
I like it when the screenshot is way bigger than the program itself.
nice!
I think there should be a new category for demos: Las ball. I'm still not sure whether las should be the only allowed participant, though...
It doesn't have any music ;)
what hopper said!
Thumb up for the title :)
Nice one :)
Technical + title thumbup
i promise i won't tell anyone that this prod has only 32 shades of grey. nicely done, las <3
It shade to gray ...respect for the size , reminds me on those medical simulations of herpes ;-) - RockZ !
Tooo slow on dosbox, too cool on looks, gonna check it in my WinXP desktop later.
wow
nice
The .gif ontop is almost 64kb, the .com 256b ^^
p0rn!
awesome title!!
I thought the title also refers to the byte count, but apparently it's not that awesome. ;)
hopefully
[quite]Unique model[/quote]Yes, it's completely unique for Las to use this model. ;)
good job!
Cool!
<3
the thumb already goes for the title. LOL. Can't really judge the coder porn but it does look nice. :)
O_o--b
yummy
title sucks. very slow algorithm. raytracing rules. 256b!
nice one!
Groovy!!
would be awesome with reasonable speed. it's now "good". :)
yes!!
I could swear I saw this weeks ago... deja-vu...
Lovely :)

good work las :)
How much instructions did that one used?

Nice one Las :)
... and the thumb I forgot
for the title alone
finally a new 256b with a fresh effect
Slow in my old, updated Windows XP Pro. SP3. :(
very slow here on my old machine but very nice (=
Ahhh that's what I thought. Mercury is a spanking group that share the interest in PCs. :D
I Like :D
I Like :D
My xp don't seem to support opengl at all. I have up-to-date w.com updates + ati's bulk-driver-pack and fucker still renders in software (me gusto).
/o\
"OpenGL" :D
=D
cool
Great!
nice one. Could have used a bit more variation rather than just rotate but definitely the best 3d shape ever in 256b

Really cool!
Die feuchten Träume des Herrn L.
.
if this had been released in back in 2006 or 2008 when all those other guys where doing their 1-4k sphere tracing (see chocolux, kinderpainter, etc) .. but for 2012 this is just a poor copy.. (eventhough a pretty small one)
I don't care about release date8)
Too bad it's beyond slow (like 0.1fps) and not actually real-time. The animated screenshot is suggesting otherwise. :/
with a little speedup now the intro is twice as fast than the original one.
Boot with FreeDOS and the speed will be nearly OK.
