The effects seem a bit slow to me but dear God it kicks ass in every single other possible way. I love the concept, the graphics and the music.

Likey very much! Nice glitches and changing graphic modes on the fly. I'm not sure how showing more than 2 colours in mono mode so I'm really impressed :).
The only downer is that it dragged on for a while. Maybe 2-3 mins shorter it'd have been better IMO :).

Normally I really like MEC stuff.
But when I saw this on video & emu, I felt like ,well "no".
Yesterday evening I saw this on a large real TV set running on a stereo-upgraded machine. WOW. The big screen and the stereo sound make a 100% difference to the perception of this. The track totally drives the visuals!

Absolutely cool stuff, I've been watching it 100 times already :) Cool music, building the very special mood, cool hi-res effects and unseen design in A8 demos... One of the top Atari XL/XE demos for sure!
Nice highrez demo with interesting music
Good demo with a real cool soundtrack. It sounds weird at the beginning, but the more you listen to it the more you hear the nuances and start to like it. At least in my case.

One of my favourite SV prods - made me go WTF during the compo. Outstanding glitchy steampunk presentation with nice details (like the meters or reflection on glasses) and really amazingly dirty sounds. Good to have stuff like this on A8, hope to see more from MEC one day!

100% ACK what 505 said. This steam punk type demo defines amazing new ideas on the A8. Actually the last few MEC demo had an absolutely unique own style. Nothing like that on this platform.

It is a shame that visuals are a bit uneventful here, esp. compared with your more recent work, but boy, oh boy, what a crazy monster of a badass soundtrack this is! It is HUGE. Never let anyone call you a chiptune.
