Nothing original, but works as a crack intro. The text writer was nice.

no, sorry, that's not acceptable in any possible way, not even on a "just for fun" level.
there was a time before the cracktros looked better than the game, and nowadays you can't really do that, but then at least you could be up to the standard TEN YEARS AGO technically.
the intro itself isn't BAD, it doesn't bring anything to the table, but at least it's not atrocious, but take a look at the stuff rez does nowadays to know where the bar should be, because honestly this (in this size) is just embarrassing.

what is a cracktro anyway. They cracked 'rage' in what way, is it easier to copy it from the floppy disc or now has infinite lives?
They cracked it so they don't have to pay money for it.
@navis: it's written on the nfo ("protection: steam") so I think there's still some hack to be able to play this game without having steam account (but I'm not sure about that).

It's frustrating how this discussion surfaces any time a crappy cracktro gets added to Pouet. It suffices just to say this sucks and then that's the end of it, right? Some are worth watching, some aren't. Same with demos.

Pastel color-scheme you call gay (not mentioning it is not a proper word - but surely you know it)? So some 1994-1996 BBS/cracktros are gay too? Melon Design stuff too? OK, certainly, we have all already passed thru MD style and its all-the-time copying, but still it was sth back in the days.
But I suppose you ment "they should use other colors, and not still the same".

From the other hand, if we disassemble old Amiga cracktros we will most probably see that they were not well coded neither. The, let's call it "Amiga days" and 720 medium reality in most often, forced the coders to do so. I underline word "forced", since we all know a human nature - not always willing to cooperate in almost EVERY aspect of life.
What I also wanted to say was that some the cracktro coders of today, do not care about the "roots". We all know that.

I don't understand why someone would need to care about size in these days, but I think that this (and the vast majority of others like it) are just bland and derivative and seen before 20 years ago already. Make it 50 megs for all I care, but make it not make me yawn myself to death. You know, cracktros USED to be cool.

A very nice crackintro, good work! A cracktro does not need to be inspiring nor does it´s exisitence need to be justified in any way, it´s purpose is still clear and the same as it was 20 years ago. it seems more people are in conflict with "not liking" and "not understanding".

If so, then why have ANY gfx, code or music at all? Just a text "cracked by XXXX" for example in game main menu would "do the job" i guess? There were and still sometimes (too seldom though) there are awesome crack intros out there but if anything goes why bother polishing it at all? Strange way of thinking to me.
