Wow, that is one excellent soundtrack! Cool effects and I really dig the choice of colors in all the scenes. Framerate is trademark Britelite work, of course :)

Demo is OK but I don't really like it much. As for top notch quality, if I have to turn off cache on an accelerated Amiga it's hardly top notch quality. So just like last time, no thumb for obvious laziness.

@Britelite: People using emulators probably prefer releases in form of an ADF file so they could try it with A500 default configurations.

Nothing's changed, you can still just mount the exe file into a disk drive in WinUAE.. No need for ADF. Anyways, super.

Rockin! can't beat a good twister, and the picture of the Queen makes it an auto-thumb up.
some okkish fx here, unfortunately ruined by fugly tune and lack of design.

While that might be true it's still no excuse for laziness. Since it isn't hard to disable caches via code my opinion still stands. Demo released in 2010 which forces me to degrade my accelerated Amiga = not thumb worthy!

stingray: well, somehow I thought spending all the time I had making sure the demo runs in 25fps and actually works on a half/half-configuration was more important. I was actually thinking of releasing a "final" version, but now I probably just won't bother, the demo works on the machine it's supposed to, and that's good enough for me

Mixed feelings. I don't understand the tunnel texture, queen overlay, the pink furniture overla. Doom parts will never work with me. Love the rest of the graphics, effects and the music though. A good demo that could have been great.

That's not why I am complaining and I sure as hell know how to disable caches. But well, I guess I am supposed to applaud demos released in 2010 which force me to degrade my Amiga before watching.

with the risk of being accused of self-promoting, you could use EmbedderII for fixing cache (and other) issues on a per-demo basis.. http://download.uni-hd.de/ftp/pub/amiga/util/misc/EmbedderII.readme
I like it! Not a milestone, but still a decent little show running on the good old Amiga hardware for which it deserves a thump.

The code is neat and I like some of the graphics (not the über-random overlays though).
The tunnel was unnecessary and I hate the feedback effect (not just this implementation though).
However, the overall vibe is nice and I _do_ appreciate a bit of SMC from time to time.

solo2, sure it's 40 copper colors per scanline but with the pixels alternating between 2 scanlines the effects are actually 80 pixels wide.
Nice design for an ECS demo, colourful effects... the only things to improve would be disabling caches and perhaps making it run with 512KB chip/512KB slow... or does it work with just 512KB of chip? Anyway good job! it's refreshing to launch new productions in my ECS miggies!

I never said I hate this very demo. In fact, I do appreciate the code and it is, as Slummy said, surely Britelite's best Amiga work so far. And it's not like I thumbed this demo down or anything, I just don't like it much as a demo (the twister does look nice though). I just dislike the fact (and as much as everyone else here disagrees or deliberately miunderstands my point of view (hello evil!), it is MY opinion!) that I have to degrade my Amiga before watching this very demo. Britelite surely invested quite some time in this demo, why not invest a few minutes more to make it run properly on accelerated machines as well?

Nice. The doom part looks a little bit too much like a pre-calculated looping sequence, though.
Music bothers me, it gives the right 90'ies feeling but doesn't really fit in with the visuals, although that twister is FUCKING AWESOME!

@StingRay: 30 seconds and 3 lines of code? Perhaps you forgot that kick 1.3 does not offer you exec.lib CacheControl? :)
I didn't forget that but I consider 1.3+680x0 (x>=2) a kinda rare combination so I would not say anything if the demo doesn't work correctly on such machines. Besides, manipulating CACR directly in that case isn't too hard either.
The startup code that britelite USED to use on his ECS prods actually has an equate you can set to turn off caches.
(and it worked even on 1.3)

A500 with kickstart 1.3 (1Mb) is THE MOST POPULAR configuration for ECS/OCS demoscene.

I'm aware i'm probably the first person ever to use a zebra-painted cow hide rug in the overlay graphics of a demo but I stand firmly behind my artistic vision in the 3d part.
but yes I do agree most other overlays are quite ugly and they're just thrown in without much thought. sorry :P
