sorry, nope. not this time.
Positive comments.
A sequel to "Cognoscere"...
But I can't help thinking that MFX are trying to tell us something. Their message, however, is lost on me.
And other than the Ear-rape, this demo isn't bad.

better than zombie movies

I actually thought the visuals are alright, but the moaning was AWFUL imo (especially the loud, distorted moaning parts). Should've stuck to noise.
Also, it wasn't quite as intense as their other one for me. I was quite bored towards the end.

very intensive.
Very very disturbing demo.
I like its direction from very very digital noise (both in soundtrack & visuals), it becomes more and more organic, looks pretty alive at the end.
A great one.

audiovisual noise from hell
I usally like MFX stuff, and weird noise/glitch-demos, but this was a bit too much.
this intensified my hangover :(
'antimoney 2009" =)
you know guys, i really appreciate the fact that every single ambient/noise mfx' prod technically produces noise in it's own way, but somehow it's just stopped being interesting to watch lately.
well, that's just my opinion. ignore me and keep doing what you're doing. =)

I absolutely agree...
eeeeeeeeh
Never trust Windows actually overwriting files...
Amazing - the crap just keeps flowing.
tense and disturbing
even as alternative production, simply no.
Pommak: I have produced noise/artifact graphics without shaders, Multitexturing or even a computer.
crap ... sorry
Alternative, yeah, but also an overly long and arty display of rand()

Maybe it was because 40 hours of being awake, but I actually fell in to some unconscious mode during compo. But hey, as a teenager I sometimes entertained myself watching TV static. You know, you can see things there that aren't there.
I like the idea of making annoying demo that people will hate and some will love because it is "art." But this product actually had some love and idea put to it, not just some random things in a row like some noise demos.

The visuals were not that bad, but the background sfx sounds something like a man having anal sex with himself.
Sorry. Much respect for the technique but the result doesn't work. It is too harsh and too long.
Not for me. The only thing I kind of liked was that horror scream sound. This prod could be used in Guantanamo Bay for torturing "terrorists". Big disappointment after beautiful Stream09 release. I hope this demo was the last of this style.. (how can you go any further anyway?)
i personally hate noise demos, so normally this would get an instant thumb down.
a piggy from me though, cause at least it's producing some controversy considering the previous comments :)

Code:
varying float camdot;
[...]
camdot = -pos.xyz;
i kindof stopped trying to get it work at this point.
Sigh
I went from "this sucks" to "not bad" over the duration of the demo. Can't say why but playing it loud on a big TV helps the freak out effect.
10 PRINT "GOTO ART-SCENE"

I don't know what is the effect of noise on the mind, but what happens in the second part is something great imho.
The requirements to enjoy this demo fully are sadly insanely high : good gfx card, high resolution, good screen and right mood.

Hell yes! High rez is the way to go. best demo I watched all day. Projector / Lights Off / Sub up. Win. Now, where did those little squares of paper go...
omg ear cancer
I'd love to see more demos like this
No idea why I overlooked this for so long. A very fine third part in this continuous series. These noise demos seem to go by a trend though; by ever part the visuals content gets more interesting and appealing (for the most part), but the overall depth and any actual meaning I manage to find seems to deplete.
Each of these three are quite different though. Cannapaceus is a metaphysical interpretation of space, Cognoscere is the same but with information/energy (depends from which way you look at it, either way it's much more disconnected). For this one I can't find any unifying underlying theme here, but the visuals are so damn good there's no way I can't enjoy this all the way through. Weakest link in the series but still very good.
