They had the courage to get into the 64k compo with a flash intro and they managed to impress me more than other 64ks.
64KB in Flash, maybe next year or two we will see 4KB Flash. This is great coder work

Great, but I don't see how ASM's orgas are so strict for certain things and accept a flash 64kb in the 64kb compo.

There's nothing crazy about the 64 Kb size limit, nor about doing some soft synth ? People have done 4, 5, 32 Kb and soft synths in Flash for years now.

Heavy duty! The design is very nice and it's pretty kewl to see some Flash stuff, as well. Nice homebrewed stuff and fast code!

After minutes of precalculations all I've seen is simple visuals with bad-to-ok quality, and music with mediocre sounds, which is also have somewhat sluggish feel. Also, though it says something about being 'first 64K Flash', here on Pouet already four Flash 64K, and two of them are 5 years old. I know how unsuitable the Flash for the demomaking, but I can't give thumb up for this, sorry. No thumb down for efforts, though.

poor effects, so-so synth quality, long precalc, tons of 'sell this sell that' text.. who cares about technical details, if it looks like crap? let's make an .exe and join combined compo? you gotta be kidding. first do it better. i know you can. this is your worst release i ever saw, sorry. no thumb down only because i respect your work, but next release like this.. and i won't anymore.

its an okay effort but i'd hardly call it great
flash is handicapped for totally different reasons than lets say an oldschool platform

Oh, definitely.
I consider this first 64k for flash player platform just because of the merit that it does contain it's own sound engine and multiple different parts instead of no sound (which is ok for 4k perhaps) or just few mp3 samples played in sequence.
About half of this intro is about the soft synthesis it contains. Song plays in real time but requires about 50% of all usable cpu, so I decided to precalc it into memory to get extra power.
Though I do agree it doesn't deserve the merit it got, we just wanted to get to screen with this one :)
