The FIRST demo EVER on the Amiga featuring vector silhouettes (no, Spaceballs' "State of the art" was not first).

Very good tunes here, check them out!

One of the first demos i wathc on my own amiga 500 back in early 90' days. State of the ar code by Musashi/Deform, well known polish amiga coder, later in Union. Great music in demo, great effects, great graphics, still after 20 years amazing demo! Respect!

Very underrated demo from Musashi, containing excellent modules from Cloo (“Nelo”) and Seq (“Yu4”). Now, the really interesting thing is that it’s the first demo ever with dancing human-like vectors - it was released 9 months before "State of the Art". I believe not too many sceners are aware of this fact. Chaos/Sanity, who happened to be at the Warsaw’92 party where the demo was released, wrote about it in Raw #5.

Jazzcat, dude, are you reading previous comments?
But indeed, some facts must be written twice (or more) in order to let people know.
Thanks for keeping it alive ;).
Cheers!

Rubber texture mapped vectors in 1992!
rulez added on the 2014-01-15 21:23:22 by Alone_Coder Alone_Coder
WTF, rubber texture mapping and dancing vector silhouettes in 1992. This was really ahead of its time and a big source of inspiration for some really wellknown/legendary demos released later.

pretty early texture mapping in here, some nice code, but the ugly design kills the whole.

Musashi - a true coding visionar. Very good music and some nice pixels (logos). a lot of cool references to the pop culture of that time (michael jackson, talk talk, dire straits. terminator, first commercial spots in polish TV etc.). Classic polish demo.

Only musashi could do this.

This demo is from march 1992 even. (check end scroll)

Missed this back in the days

Its à milestone! So advanced for its age, Day and time..

Spox!!

WTF, I didn't thumb this one up yet? Coded by one of the most underrated Amiga coders ever IMHO! Really nice code for its day, I have always enjoyed this demo and always will!

It seems to have nice effects, the same kind like in future crew asm'92 demo..
Nice. Music doesnt fit at all I'm afraid.

I've watched this before and thought mixed bag and mostly weird. If the imperfect bitmap morphs are real-time it's worth a thumb. That, early rubber, and the endpart are my best parts.

Texture mapping is isometric, fast, and glitchy, while the Terminator cube is perfect(!) Most vectors are slow, some are glitchy... when varying visuals are rolled into one like this it's hard to vote, but the textured face and endpart bumps it up again.

Download link is broken, but the fixed ADF works.

A bit of a mixed bag, but the Talk Talk and the overall feeling of the end part sold me.

I'm torn between "Some cool routines here" and "Come back when you can do them in 50fps"

One of those involves a thumb, just gonna round up.
