I liked what i saw on BPTV a lot, but it keeps crashing my MacBook , which is a bit disappointing, even though the nfo says so.

So I just deleted some boring bits, with no fades at all - it just cuts. I'll upload a full video of each section during the week.

Very nice work! Though it was maybe a bit long-winded in the compo.. I think you should've cut out some more and let people enjoy the disk in full at home.

I loved it on the big screen! :) There are some pretty nice transitions and effects and I like the concept. Also, the tunes are pretty cool. I agree that it was a bit too long though.
Point taken about the length. I figured that as each part was effectively a demo, and i'd only be showing 2 minutes of each, it'd work out. Guess not :)

The file on the breakpoint ftp contains the video, and a pre-release version of the disk (there's not much changed, just slightly altered text in the overlays). I've requested that the party version of the binaries are added to the ftp, and also requested an untergrund account, so I recommend a little patience if you don't want a 270mb download :)
Manwe: what video card do you have? and does 1998 work OK? I'm trying to figure out which parts break it on intel cards.
Oh, and if you get a nasty clicking in the audio, quit the app and relaunch.. it's a bug I found, and will fix.

meh, this was just annoying in the compo.
Oh yeah, the 1998 part contains a pixel shader that converts the video to c64 palette. It's not too obvious, but will be in the final. It's also very inefficient, and runs all the time... some optimising to be done there :)
Link is working, please use the download one instead of the scene.org one though unless you want the 250mb video too ;)

Trace: it's leopard only, i used a lot of the new stuff in 10.5. Not sure if it would work on an ibook anyway.. there's a lot of shaders. I think most would get run in software, but it would be slooow.
