nice try but the inspiration smells a mile off, and it has no sound.
Gargaj: Tracie, which uses raycasting and, I guess, secant root solving. This is a recursive raytracer. The two are very different techniques. So unless you mean the smell of chocolate, you are way off base. As for sound, I know, but TBC have their own amazing 1k compressor which is way better than crinkler so unless you are suggesting I stop writing 1ks (are you?) I'll have to live without sound.

auld: i think you're overestimating the intention here - it's just that while the algo might be completely unrelated, it doesn't look that different, so for the casual viewer (which i decided to be right now) it might as well be the same thing with different coefficients. and since most of the 1k-s already have music, i think it's fairly reasonable to ask for sound.
auld2: shouldn't you take up the challenge and make your own compressor then? I'd like to see more competition in that particular field :)

Gargaj: I've done 1ks with sound. Yes. One of those in the list is mine. So are Morpheus and Annoying blue circle. But the change in style to crinkler means no 1ks so far using crinkler have sound (its possible, but the compromise in graphics would be very large).

For the mzk, I agree it's nearly impossible to play mzk (not just 3 looping notes) in 1k intros nowadays.

As I said, you need PS3.0. 9700 isn't ps3.0 rarefluid. I guess your drivers fall back to software to emulate true PS3.0.
