how's come the first thumb up is a year after submisssion %)
this demo is unbelieveable!
this demo is unbelieveable!
hmmh, I always liked Panic better than Second Reality...
I disagree. Second Reality was overall a better production than Panic. I saw Panic after SR and it was evident that Panic missed a couple of things. Apart from that, Panic is a very good prod. Hard techno music, lots of fractal effects and a dark mood to go. A worthy and respectable prod from FC.
Just to vote!
Worth a vote. Had amazing effects (some of them, anyway), music, and design for 1992, on any system.
A good production by the FC.
For some reason I remember liking the opening zooming text sync'd with sound FX back best in '92, as well as the closing "TV" style screen power off :)
Some nice pixel graphics in this one.

The very beginning of this demo is sick :) Polished to hell.
Yeah, vote. I'm not part of the PC demoscene roots, and in fact, they're somewhat worse than the other systems, but this was a sign of hope :)
First demo I ever saw.. and the one that got me intrested in the scene.. You wont believe how I got my hands on it thought.. It came with a pack of CD's with diffrent utils for our first 486 back in '95 =) I still watch it now and the on the very same 486 =)
I remember the fractal-voxel and the music the best. This demo was really good, but fell between "Unreal" and "Second Reality" in style.
Whate the?! I din't vote for this?
For 1992 it was a screamer, really good stuff, despite some really bad pixel art. There was some consternation about pre-calc scenes, but like anybody cared :) I recall FC being really huffy about getting to 2nd place, for reasons they thought unfair.

this was cool back then, tho i like(d) Unreal and SR better.
love
Too bad it only runs on SB, and requires EMS - the latter was considered quite lame back then.
music == oWnage
I agree.
Pfft!
One of the best! I'd often view it over and over on my 386DX-40. With the advent of Farb-Rausch demos, it is starts to look dated graphically, but some of the concepts and imagery are still fresh.
The music in this is great-- a worthwhile listen even separate from the demo itself.

hmm... I can see the gfx but I can't hear anything ! Running in Win2K w/ VDMSound. I also tried with the DOSBox 0.60 emulator and still, no sound. Anyone has a suggestion ?
Sound breaks off after a few seconds in 0.61 as well. I suggest buying the MindCandy DVD or building a 486 out of old parts. :)
I finally got a old SoundBlaster 16, so I can now watch that great demo in the real DOS ! woohoo!!
gotta vote for this, this baby got me in the scene!
cool
cool
Thanks MindCandy for finally giving me the opportunity to see this gem =)
Great music, some neat effects, nice synchro, all in '92 style =P
What more could you ask?

Oldschool PC style.
Yes kickin' it with oldschool, Thanks mindcandy
The fractal mountain effect really kicks ass. And it has shadebobs and dot vectors too <3
A classic. Great code, music and synchro. As I recall, this is one of the first early PC demos that wasn't completely boring to non-computer people.
the first seconds are already more than enough for a massive thumb up :)
TRACKMOs ROXXOR!
good shit back then
extremely oldschool, rather difficult to get running, but entertaining none the less.
again:
A classic for PC.
Another classic from Future Crew. The rythm of the music and the synchronization with it was probably what made it so cool.
So fucking nice, too bad I haven't seen it with music for 4 years now :(
Big hit back then. Not as good as Unreal, but...
panic!!
A great Future Crew demo, nothing more to say than excellent. Great timing and some really cool effects also.
perfect
Really good! Ace music and some outstanding effects for their day.
one of the nicest shadebobs ever, nostalgia to the max
for having it watched a thousand of times
and for the music
and for the music
nice
my favourite future crew demo.
great soundtrack. overall nice parts.
good
mode X?
mode X?
The first demo I ever saw, totally amazing. FC were great those days - and then they came up with stuff like unreal and second reality which made them the dicks of the universe.
FC to the gods!
This is the first demo I ever saw! :--) Back on my 386DX. The mandlebrot stack used to blow my mind - even if I didn't have a sound card. :-D
the rest of the demo doesn't quite keep up on the same level with the music, but i still like this classic. though, as with 2nd reality, also in panic some scenes and pixelart are ugly
way cool for its time.
The voxel fractal looked awesome on the big screen at TP'92. I think that's the first time I saw something on PC that really kicked Amiga's butt.
Thumbs up for its time, but I don't like it too much.. The music is for me...
the music is NOT for me...
panic!
The demo from Future Crew that I use to explain to Gargaj why 2nd Reality isn't as good as other Future Crew demos.
rulez for me!
thumbing down for this is idiotic!

Great great great!!!
this is the first demo i ever saw as well. i was so impressed, and so excited by the concept of demos, that it caused me to buy a pc and a soundcard, and eventually join the demoscene.
This was one of the very first I had seen as well. A real groundbreaker for its time. I was amazed watching my 386DX33 run this.
Saw it live at TP92. Amazing. Haven't seen it since... :(
this is what inspired me to start with scream tracker.
Ooh, classic!
Thumb for the Voxel Fractal and the Logo.
Gosh.. PC stuff from 1992.. ;)
Gosh.. PC stuff from 1992.. ;)
nah, gathering glöps.
Oh well. It's kinda classic, I know, I know. But what the heck were they thinking of when they put that stickman "techno" crap in the beginning?
Classic
Crappy music as usual, average prod.
No comment yet?
Awesome music as usual and a great prod! Very nice fx.

neato. one of the first demos i've seen.
Udezajte se konem psy tem.

well, good shit !

A true classic :)
Well, all Future Crew demos are "true classic" :D

what saga said.
woar!
It works really bad on DOSBox, really bad :(
One of my favourite demos -- I have just the music saved so I can listen to it anytime I want to. :-)
Awesome music! overall good stuff!
I watched this one in the original intended hardware, and it looked amazing at that time. Of course, another late thumb up from me.
i was blown away twenty years ago - it ran really decently on a 486/33 ;o); today it seems a bit dusty, but it still rocks and is a classic - thumbs up!
Almost 22 years later and still impressive.
Scrollers Suck!
good memories
Scrollers suck indeed. Unfortunately the demo does a bit too. The beginning kicks off quite nicely, but at least the whole latter half seems to be lacking all sorts of quality control. Maybe someday I manage to amass more enjoyment from this one too.
I just love this demo! #define rulez 1
yup
Worth watching
for the platform
Worth having both SB+GUS in the old days for this. Still watching in 2020 :)
i think i would have liked it at the time. now not so much.
i cant get the scroller section to work in dosbox. anyone know how?
In DOSBox 0.74, set machine=vgaonly. In DOSBox SVN-Daum or -X, the default svga_s3 will also work, just remove any value for forcerate so it syncs correctly. For some reason the sound doesn't work in DOSBox-X.
Some parts have really good flow. Especially the beginning.
ok

if this prod is a fake, some info is false or the download link is broken,
do not post about it in the comments, it will get lost.
instead, click here !
It's just the perfect synchronizing/effects that are out before you can take a breath/trackmo amiga style logic!!!
You know something? Second Reality and Panic are the best with the trackmo logic. When I lack from demos like these on PC, I run Feelow and see some Amiga500 demos! (Damn,. I have to buy a real Amiga :P)
