Demos don't get much classier than this. Along with Nexus 7 this is the best example of Andromeda's polished style: not a pixel in the wrong place.
The last of the great A500/ECS oldies. Lots of simple vectors with complex physics, and several good pics in between. The mood of the music changes for each part. But, I'm afraid you can't compare this demo to Toasted, this "roller coaster" was just a chain of flat squares. :) But, a stereo sound effect plays during that part, leaving just 2 channels for the music! Mr. Man knew what he was doing.
Simply shows the perfectionism what Andromeda provided over the years.Love it...Btw. won Gathering '94.
I loved the opening sequence with the bubbles and the coaster... Later parts were slightly uninteresting vector-parts, but then so were most demos at the time.

the colours are still so nice balanced hmnnn yummie... one of my alltime favourites!

Boring shite... lots of work spent on packaging effects that were really outdated when this demo was released...
I agree with Slemmy to a degree. It's boring and there were no groundbreaking effects, but the design was incredibly slick and classy and that left a positive impression on me.
Still better than today's AGA crap (except for Lapsuus)

Slemmy has a valid point. But this was andromedas style, and they mastered it to perfection. I watched it a few times but never forget about it so...thumbs

i don't know for sure, but it looks like some original ideas in here (what p01 says). gfx + msx is top, no doubt. i couldn't judge from the avi whether all animation was 1 VBL.. but even if it was less some times this prod still has my respect.

i wanted to mention that they didn't catch the texture/gouraud/offsetmap train.. but that doesn't make this low quality crap. it still rules.

One of my favourites. The effects are very good-looking and synchronized to the music, and the art is good too.. The Sequential logo above is extremely stylish and the end-picture is beutiful!

Eh... this old thing. Well, 1994 sure was a great year for us. My favourite AoA-prod (exept for the old N7, ofcoz) has always been Mindriot though.

the drawn girl after the roller coaster originally is a character called Druuna by Paolo Eleuteri Serpieri from his outstanding comic series Morbus Gravis. But I think we can put that into the Boris-Valejo-Corner, don't we ;) ?

I watched this on video and was impressed. There are several original ideas in this, some more unique effects than several other good Amiga demos, it has good sync, great graphics, a totally great show!

The opening sequence is really lovely! The vector ball screen is also very nice. The rest (especially the "roller coaster" part) is a little bit boring and technically nothing special, but still worth a thumb up...

One of the first Amiga demos I saw and I still like this one :). Great graphics, soundtrack and direction. I've seen more mindblowing effects but overall it's very nice :).

I mean I definitely see why people like this. All the individual elements are solid, especially the graphics and design work. But still it just doesn't come together. I guess it's the music that is lacking for me. It's just so mundane, without any personality or emotion.

So polished that it hurts - could've be a little bit more rough for my taste, but then it wouldn't have been Andromeda. Many genre-defining vector effects.

It is a true masterclass in presentation and pacing. What an excellent demo. Best bit for me was probably the 3D morph vector section but there's so much to like here. The bit I actually enjoyed the most, was the text explaining all of the effects and how they were achieved - I love when that happens. The story at the end gave me a chuckle and it left me with quite a cosy feeling overall (the way the demo ended, not the smutty story). It didn't end dark and brooding like it started, so a real journey.
Such a good one! Really like the rollercoaster effect.
