To anyone who doesn't want to bother counting, I counted 48 rows of scrollers.
I predict someone will do a scroller with 6-pixel tall text.. that's sufficient (5 for the letters, 1 pixel for the gap). This would give you 128 rows of scrolltext in 1028x768 :)
