The metaphysical implications this animal manifests result in a tightly-woven matrix of doubt, guilt and insanity. The juxtaposition of the pink background, indicating perhaps a return to the womb, with the colourful, crude, child-like drawing of the 'ziraafh' results in one of the more memorable, even mesmerizing works of art of the last 100 years. Stunning.

How could I have missed this before? One of the defining works of European art in the 2nd Millennium, "Ziraafh" pulses with an unconstrained visceral energy not unlike Hirmu's critically acclaimed opera "Muna".
