Hm, I really don't know what to think about this one. On one hand it's well designed and looks quite nice, on the other hand it hasn't much to do with _procedural_ gfx imho and there are some heavy artefacts. At least you could have blended the hair better with the background. Small thumb up for the design and being the first using such a technique.

Only 4 place...Strange.
She is created from arround 1k3 bytes of data. It's some sort of Haar wavelet thing (on YUV space) - it gives a very blocky result. I use a gaussian blur with a kernel size dependant on the variance of Y on an attempt to hide the blocks by bluring "flat" areas while keeping edges more or less intact... (aka ps "smartblur"?) Not the right wavelet basis, no zerotrees used :( The ornaments are some perlin noise driven magic, as with anything that tries to look organic.
