Great design and nice effects. Sadly the sound was slightly fucked in WinAPE and crashed a little after the fire effect (WinAPE 2.0A9 | CRTC 3 + 4). Otherwise quite good for a first prod.

Wow! I wake up in the morning and Ukonx made it to the CPC(+). What a surprise!

But it's strange, the same is happening to me, sounds seems fucked up (or is it really so and not a bug?) and crashes after the fire effect even in the same Winape version the author says has developed it, or is it a joke and the demo really ends there? (Like the Gates to Delirium part in Demoizart?)

Ok,. the effects are nice (even though slower and more blocky than our versions :) and the screen fades and design is great (yep, CPC+ does it with it's great pallete for fades and hardware sprites for smooth moving stuff)

Maybe a video if there is more to it? Or a solution to this crash? I am going to also try running it to Arnold emulator too perhaps..

There's room for improvements but it's already quite good for a first prod on the Amstrad.

The demo run fine on the real hardware. It also work fine on WinAPE2.0A13 or A14 with the default settings but CRTC set to Type 3 - CPC+ ASIC. With any other CRTC settings, sound is fucked up and it crash for some reason after the fire effect.

@Optimus: your version doesnt have a digitrack-tune in the background :)

Oh thansk! Yes people, Winape32 with CRTC type 3 selected as grimmy says. I have seen few more effects there like the first 2d blobs on CPC (I don't like how they seem when they connect though), some distortion and rotozoomer and maybe the first good 2d bump mapper on CPC (I think several of the effects can be done either in a better resolution or faster but nevertheless they are the first ones in this machine). It's indeed a good surprise now I have seen the whole demo and my thumb is getting bigger.

I could swear I used the CRTC 3 before. I like the rotozoomer :)
Sound still is a bit clicky tho.

nytrik: start winape, press "1" (on the keypad) to enter cpc basic, then press ctrl+f1 to insert the disk image and type "run ukonx". don't forget to select CRTC type 3 in the settings (check Grimmy's post above).

Except the small window, the demo has a cool digitized soundtrack and many FX, one of the best CPC+ demo. What about trying more hardware tricks?
