the same here. no sound on Vista! Works smooth here, looks awesome and the music is ACE - but only on XP :-)

About the sound. Before you have any more warm feelings about it, it is just a dirty trick which we aren't even first to use:
WINDOWS\Help\Tours\WindowsMediaPlayer\Audio\Wav
This also explains why there's no sound with Vista. :) Note that we checked from the organizers if it is allowed to do this, and we would have just put a softsynth in if we wouldn't have been given a permission.
But you probably do find it interesting that this production is coded in a custom language, "Lisp-ahtava" a.k. IL4. It uses lisp syntax. Compiler is coded in OCaml and it generates tight bytecode & VM which is then compiled with nasm and fed through Crinkler. Mad props go to XMunkki for creating such a nice little beast.

huh... and using those .wav:s doesn't count as using someone elses tune without permission? visuals aren't too impressive either imho, but thumbdown for the sound.

I do not remember this at all from the compo. And - seeing the youtube - think it deserved to rank way better than 6th. Really strange. Was there a problem with the showing at assmebly, or something?

The music is obviously a huge cheat, but fantastic anyway, left me quite puzzled while watching this! Visuals are surprisingly neat too, I even like the colors.
