A nice demo, it did its effect during the VIP3 on the big screen. Nice 3d scenes, but it would have been nice to have links between scenes,... or maybe I'm not getting it ;)

doesn't stop loading here.
Fairly trendy demo that has random unconnected 3d-scenes of which I liked (except for that city-thingy). Nice, but lacking in design.
Doesn't work here !!! P3 & Geforce256 sdr... even with new DETONATOR drivers .... suxx !
lots of good ideas, good scenes but absolutly no graphical and colors design!
flying in some 3d scenes, no links between it, very very boring, sad

Hi all! For those of you who have troubles with the demo, I'm currently trying to make a patch, but, I don't have W9x here. I uploaded a patch that MAY work on our site. I'd like some feedback! thx! <for the lack of design stuff, all we can say is that we made all that we could in 3 weeks :( better next time :)>
(3 semaines pour ça ?)
Nice demo, when it works (only at the party ? )
Why fix your demo to 800*600*32 bits and 60Hz for refresh... My monitor support 72,75 & 85Hz in this resolution...
A fix would be welcome, for choose résolution ;)
Thanks.

Thanks.
It's ok now!
If you want more than a few polys cheaply driven by oversized-egos, then you can dowload "I Can Fly" which works perfectly under win9x/Me/Win2k.

it runs very slow on athlon1000+gf2gts... what machines did you use?
I've got a Duron@770 + gf2GTS
the 3rd patch and it still crashes. plus the parts that work are extremly slow on my amd1000/gf/640mb
The demo work fine on my win2k+sp2 and winMe with a geforce1.
Don't forget:
- for nvidia video cards, use lastest detonator drivers : official 12.41 from www.nvidia.com (for opengl 1.2 support)
- for via kt133 chipset, asus A7V, ABIT KT7, MSI K7T motherboards : use via4in1 4.32 drivers from www.via.com.tw
(for AGP fix)

it's working here.
I thumbs up because of the scene in the church which is well done I think, it gaves me a nice impression.

I watched it again and I really enjoy the orange part when the girl start to sing.
This is a perfect exemple of THE borring 3-d Demo . If you find it hugly, Do not check the Website .. it is even worst!
these guys sure can fly.. fly through 3d scenes, that is 8))
but seriously.. it's a mixed bag. the middle-part mp3 is cool, the intro/outro xm's aren't. gfx styles of many scenes don't really belong together. dunno.. they should've get their act a bit more straight before making this. 8)
oh, and it worked straight outta box here.. pIII-750, 512ram, gf256/detonator1420.. dunno what everyone's problem is.. 8}

Reminds me a lot of Orion's demos from few years ago (overlong 3d flythroughs, with singing..!)
But even though the design falls short, the 3d here is in fact very good looking for the most part.
But what's the thing with the extremely wideangle lenses? It really makes my stomach turn... You can be pretty sure I won't watch a demo again if it gives me motion sickness =)

simply :
it rocks !
it rocks !
Umm, a couple of 3d scenes bookended with lousy mods is not design. Look, you can have a 3d only demo with no story line and still have a great demo. Just look at TESLA by Sunflower. There is programming talent in MGD, they just need a better sense of design.
Big ammount of thrill 3D but less design
Poor designing, just a bunch a jumbled up scenes. Some of em are not bad thought...
Actually, I'll give it a thumbs up. There ARE some quite nice parts to this.
yeh cuasi nice
nice 3d
man i have rarely seen something so badly designed.
which is kinda frustrating because the code is pretty good...

It's not the design that sucks, it's the music.
it rocks so shut up you fakking morons!
go lick yah mommies or something
go lick yah mommies or something
I liked it, especially the city scene. A bit incoherent in design, but nice overall.
Nice 3D flights, but boring as hell...
omg you are all homos
this is boring, slow and lacks any design.
hey cool, it's the cube from... Cube! One of the coolest low-budget movies ever made!
The demo was ok... nice scenes, though presentation was rather dull. Music really saved it tho

Cool demo! :)
Sure it's "THE" Cube ;)
Great movie, easy to model, too :) (most work is on the map)

contained some nice ideas, but was quite boring.
i liked this, the main tune is good, a lot of the 3d is good too. As said already though, it could do with more design/consistency to make it a whole lot better
Some people crying about problems with it, how funny :) Works well on a p2-500 with as simple tnt2 m64 16mb :))) Ok-ok, some part is rather a slidshow, but the enjoyable in this form :))) I like it.
nice
Very impressive 3d scenes.
Just a boring flyby.
yeh, boring 3d.. cathedral thingie was okish.. soundtrack nice too
Nice soundtrack and nice graphics, even though it's just a flyby. If all flybys were this cool, I wouldn't be complaining..
damn, this rocks
Cube land is not a myth. I've seen it. Kevin Costner. Waterworld.
good production, deserves a thumb up for the efforts
The city and the cube thing were nice, but other things... The visuals, the transitions and the music were really annoying and I could have done without that ending part, it was worse than the end credits in Second Reality.
What? I didn't vote for it? It's one of my all-time favorites!
Everyone watching it now: if you see the lightbeams solid white instead of volumetric semi-transparency like it should be, you have probably run over a bug in the demo: according to Nico, it forgets to initialize the alpha-buffer correctly. It should be possibe to fix in an asm-level debugger without recompile, but i'm not exactly skilled at that sort of thing and lack time to learn.

well, the end part was quite a bad idea, yeah. but I don't think that it was so bad as everyone said so far. It must be my bad taste or I don't know, but imo - apart that overlapping cityscape thing, and some shy attempts for overlay - it was cool. and yes, I liked the music too.
You maybe want to use THIS executable...
http://mercury-domination.net/tmp/las/I_Can_Fly.ok.NV-FIX-BY-lasHG.exe
Just some fixed PixelFormatDescriptor (In a bad way... :P but hey it seems to work).
Use at one's own risk.

hey 'las' thanx for the fix ! I was too lazy for years to do it... I relied wrongly, at that time, on the fact that destination alpha channel was toggled on by default on NVidia drivers... it has changed since ! thanks a lot :) :)
Great 3D stuff and the fixed exe helped a lot for getting the maximum viewing pleasure on modern gfx cards.
nice
(I just fixed the download link yesterday :D)
No problem... I was bored back than... x86 Asm is easy :D

then even
Great flyby stuff for its time.
yes you can. you can fly my cock high when i'm watching this and due to that thumb up!
rulez
the fix can be found here again (thank guardian) http://rocketscience.mercury-domination.net/I_Can_Fly.ok.NV-FIX-BY-lasHG.exe
Duh, i was convinced I already thumbed this, one O_o ... whatever.
Great "3D fly-by" from 2001, works perfectly on NVidia cards with the patch posted above by las.

Not so boring 3D flyby.
You can fly, but you can't sing (shut up, lady).
not bad
Some how fun.
a typical early 2000s flyby stuff, though the church scene was neat :) runs well on win10+nvidia
nice demo, I really like the first track and scenes to go with it, but I hate how abruptly it was faded out to make space for the dull and way too long credits scene with bad music
Not the prettiest looking thing, but hey, it was an era of "if you played an MP3 you were groundbreaking", so...
