The 3D was admittedly really cool, but the colors were awful at some parts. It was just a cheese overload, could have been much more entertaining.

Not my cup of tea at all but I have to congratulate you anyway, very nice artwork there.
For ATI users: works fine on my x700 ati card , 1gb ram and 3,2ghz pc

pretty in some places, awful in others. the whole thing seems to lack direction (the camerapaths for example; utter garbage) and the text-overlays were horribly placed, and too large also.. still; it's not without it's charm.

oh; and it was "hello mr. 10 FPS" on my computer (2ghz, 2gb ram, nvidia 6800). i really couldn't see anything in this demo that would explain it running so slowly.
A little bit boring, but so beautiful... And the music fits perfectly with the global atmosphere, congratulations.

Some pretty nice graphics and a nice mellow soundtracks. Pointless scene poetry though.

Started with great atmosphere, but the rest was pretty boring, IMO
very beautiful, even if the scene with the house wasnt as perfect as the rest. and i could really have done without the texts. i guess i love cheese, cause i loved this one. great atmosphere
It was good, but sooo bright in places. Some of the texture colours need toning down I think.

Nice and a lot of work, but IMHO... the story and poem is too simple, naive, cheesy... and the same goes for camera path. A few very nice static scenes.

I second dipswitch: the reference to relaise is obvious. Guessing the insane amount of work and love invested into this production, it felt unfair to be shown that early in the compo. Nevertheless it somehow hurt how so much work just didn't get off.
Some subjective things:
++ loved the angel -- really really. Maybe the most beautiful image I took from the competition.
++ loved the lighting of the face (was it subsurface scattering?)
++ lighting of the sky/airplane scene
+ use of DOF in the beginning scene
- overall impression was too mawkish
- the direction / camera / music / message didn't get me
- the lighting / camera angles of the house scenes was weird: It somehow made it look like a small prop in an indoor studio
- the architecture behind the angle stature (Using references not only speeds things up)

this thump is purely for the modelling and texturing. it represents the current state of the art.

This thumb is for the statue and the end part, and for those only, since they kicked ass. The cameras and the scene poetry ruin it.
actually story is somehow nice... I forgot the spiritual/religious aspect of it... takie milutkie jest :) = softening my heart a bit, brings hope and leaves good/warm emotions...

Stunning 3d work, good tune and overall I liked it as a demo too. Maybe it could use a little more in the way of effects though to bring it to life a bit more, like some subtle movement in the trees etc., or having the ropes on the balloon sway with the wind.

i actually liked this one. short, but deserves to be in the top 5 IMO. cheesy, yet heart touching music++ in my book
Very enjoyable demo, better than it's placing. And the music so reminds me of something else but can't quite place my finger on it, or maybe it's just some of the samples hmm. Great anyways, much smoother on compo machine than on my own though ;p
The cameras were clever the same way as shooting 1000 episodes of Glamour from a helicopter.

Guard][an: On my nv6600GT (PCIe), XPSP2 with latest drivers (93.71) it runs fine.
Now I watch it from the video, smooth enough, I like it more. And I get the message more deep today (maybe I am in the mood, never abandon your dreams, my project democode folder is still called "dreams", ehehehe :)

some very nice models, however some not so good (the screenshot scene..). very last angel head has impressive material & modelling work. however, camera movements are pretty bad and it's basically just a flyby, also the scene poetry kinda hurts :) with some extra effort this could have been really nice
