refreshing stuff and well done, like it
sehr stylish, leute, sehr stylish :)
Rules! Wowed me right away with the bumpmapper, I've never seen it with such a feeling of depth on the C64 before.
The horisontal twister thing was also top notch.
All in all ace coding. Looking forward to the 100% version.

Rulez!
nice nice nice =)
some cool effects there!
great! can't wait to see the final version
Wow! Just wow!!!
Several amazing effects I don't think I've seen before on the C64 really well done, like the rotating mirror bitmap (don't know how it's called), free directional tunnel, elastic cube, that final 3d trip, also the rubber looks like it's doing refraction to the background, I don't know if it's that but neat anyways =))) And the bump looks spectacularly good! Oh, and the plasma behind the background, what a multicolorfull plasma in pixel res!!!
Effects galore, really. Some of them are staying for very few time on the screen (the price of trackmos ;), I wanted to observer them more, also the demo ends up at the end so abruptly, though I hope it's completed well in 100% version. Not as complete and good as Soiled Legacy, but there are several effects there which are really new or done in better ways. Neat!!!

Well, it deserved a first place. Sorry Singular crew. :D
Really impressive stuff and it was my personal winner.
Yeah this one should have won - stunning
Great demo, with quite a few "wow" moments. I think this deserves a more in-depth review than my usual oneliner...
Bump: Nice smooth platic feel to it. But my favorite C64 bump is still the head in Soiled Legacy though.
Feedback effect: Wow, a feedback effect on C64... Not sure how realtime it is though, since it's displayed for such a short while.
Dithered colorful plasma, in what seems like 4x2 mode: Biggest wow effect of the demo. It really got me puzzled, but the missing FLI bug, as well as some small bugs in the gfx that are only visible when pausing it, has lead me to believe it's stored into plain bitmap, and that's gotta be quite cumbersome because of the color restrictions. I also like the way the "girl with a headache" gfx is used to almost give it a full screen appearance, even though the effect only takes up like a third of the screen. Oldskoolers like me would probably just have made the effect in a rectangle in the middle of the screen, and then filled out the empty spaces with logos, rasterbars and scrollers, but this is obviously more stylish.
Rubber vector: Not something you see every day on C64. Can't really remember when was the last time I saw one of these, but it might have been back in one of the Comalight demos by Oxyron. This one is probably the best rubber vector on C64 yet, but I bet it could be done better. Very nice bg gfx.
Twistor: Nice bg gfx too, and a nice effect, which unfortunately quickly turns into some not that nice variations, and then disappears way too early.
The next twistor seems like something that was finished in a hurry. But at least it has more colors than the usual 4 multicolor ones, so I guess that counts for something.
Diagonal checker board wobbler: Seems to be the trendy effect at BP 2006. I like the oneframed versions by Chorus and Dekadence better, but this one is neat too.
Tunnel: Looks like something that has been done in 16 color 4x4 before, but as usual it looks better in dithered 4x4.
Vector trip: Quite boring, and the gfx to the right is ugly, so this is an Alt+W moment. In warp mode it looks pretty kewl though. :)
Looking forward to the 100% version. This could easily be the demo of the year.

nice demo !
great stuff.
with these great effects the demo deserved to win, only that stretcher thingy looks bad, and the vector trip is a bit boring. some of the gfx arent that good and the demo could have been put together better, still a great show. will there actually be a 100 % version this time?=)
great effects
one of the bestest modern c64 demos!
stylish and perfect. no more words
wouldnt run in ccs64 for me.. crashes randomly between 2nd & 3rd effect - DAMnit.. looked mighty fine up until that point
got own3d by singular crew. Still rules. Good competition (:
Effect porn.
64ish
liked it the best of c64 democompo, not that i know that much c64 being an amiga'er, but the code has to be thigh to get this freedir tunnel and also the plasma + girly pic was awesome, reminded me of nebula/dcs design...
forgot the rulez
ooooonyáááád...
best demo in the compo, deserved to win.
I second Krill.
Did I mention, that the code here is absolutely insane? ... I still keep dropping my jaw when I watch this :-)
I thought you looked into it. What you find there is also insane. :)
Hey Bubis, I thought I recognized some of your code in there. You kicked me yet again, keep up the amazing work :). The true compowinner as far as I am concerned. Will patiently wait for the 100% -- awesomeness cannot be rushed as far as I am concerned.
This production is GOD-LIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
wow
great demo. really really nice ;)
sweet!
The plasma in the screenshot is really great, and the rest is quite ok too
ace :) I like it when c64 demos don't spend ages on each effect and barely hangs together. Nice gfx. Loved the "refracting" twister. Music was also very cool. Especially the first baseline.
now that's a demo. wow!
goddammit!!!!!! killer effects! it really cheers me up to see such good cheats/code!! the music is not at the level of the ingenious effects, though.. the graphics rules, though..
anyway, this is what demos are about.. making people say "wow, how the fuck did they manage?!?". this demo owns!

Yeah, does it for me.
Cool effects.
A killer demo.
Great and punchy music, some real nice gfx, powerful and nicely presented effects, a good flow.
What can one ask for ? ... more. Yes, please, gimme more.

My fav c64 prod
Very very good.
Best horizontal twistor I've seen; worst vertical one :P
Would've seriously appreciated a transition out at the end too.
With that said, thank you for everything else in this demo that was so fucking awesome :D

Excellent!
Like! :>

proper
Killer effects! but music wasn't my taste.
some cool effects in this one!
One of the most stunning C64 productions. It looks well, sounds great and never tests your patience. The code is hugely impressive, but what is even more impressive is that this code is supported by the narrative undercurrent.
Great!!
Sweet!
Good pacing, banging soundtrack, solid effects. Does not fuck around.
