I don't know Amstrad CPC scene history well, so I thumb up for the world record but if it's true of course :) I think bob size is very important for the world record. If previous record has bigger bobs, we cannot compare two routines easily. But I think this effect has an average bob size.

Wow! Quite much nicer colors, amount of bobs (26? Damn! I now have to work preety hard to get more!!!) and curves here! Bravo!!!

And yes, the sprite size is the same as in the Garcimore demo and even the gfx of the sprite count for the optimization of unrolled codes here, and as I read in the scroller a nicer looking but less optimizable sprite was used here. So, that's quite an effort!

p.s. CPC RULES!!! Really few demos in 2005, but now it's just January and there are already 3 cool demos around and more are coming soon! That's a great surprise!!!

Nice effect. Reminds me of early Amiga stuff, which is quite an acheivment for an 8-bit system.

2nd attempt to the CPC balls contest : 26 balls by Megachur ! Look better than the first one (see http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=13538) and stronger code.
But the balls-war is not finished : see the 3rd attempt here : http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=26263
