Unbelievable. Only 3 comments for one of the best demos ever released on Amiga. The last demo by the famous coding duo Equalizer and Offa. Fantastic music, awesome visuals and cool and original effects. An absolute classic!!

Is it possible to find anything bad in this demo? No, I don't think so.
This is really one of my all-time favourite demo for Amiga.
Especially the frist part of the demo and the water effects is what really makes it stunning!
Too bad that it ends a bit suddenly, like it's not 100% finished.
But it does surely deserve at RULES :)

Astounding effects and design. Such a shame TBL didn't manage to sustain this standard once their core members left.
i dislke most of the textures and the music in some parts ... but wtf ... the effects rock! and it has a picturezoomer ;)
How come that this, one of the most astonishing demos on the amiga, got not even more than 10 comments?... get a grip on yourselves! - are the demos on the PC-scene amusing you?... c'mon!

Well... I'm not a fan. Don't get me wrong, I totally recognize this demo's historical importance... but overall I felt the presentation was quite sloppy and cobbled together.

the 3d engine was a bit buggy with all the holes between polygons, but it had lots of cool 2d effects to balance... but then it surely tips to rulez because of the music and gfx work (angelic particles OMG!!!)
You take a demo with really delicious effects and soothing music, and another one with noisy music and a crappy 3d engine, and then you shuffle these together and get... Captured Dreams. Amazing and annoying at the same time.
A must see for all! One of the best Amiga demos. Amazing atmosphere!

I like the underwater scene the most. I remember some nice tunnel, and zoomer, and some flickering texturemapped 3D scenes.
Fuckin' A! I remember watching this demo at TG 97, it was great moment in life! Altough I wish Louie could have done something different from that angel-picture. It is the only reason why I did not show this demo while teaching in a art-school last year.

Some of the effects area really ace, and some of the graphics are fantastic, but as a whole, I think this is butt-ugly.

I don't think they were. I accused him of scanning a long time ago and he corrected me in an old Rom article and wrote a step by step guide. He was just an exceptionally talented gfxer.
As for the demo, it still has an impact every time I watch it. So far ahead of its time!
Uh, I saw this a lot of time back in the days.
The zoomer is so great even if the zoom is not exponential but linear. Very talented graphician.
I also like the ambient parts of the music. Even though the music is very obviously made to fit the demo - not the other way around - it has turned out really well.

Forgot: Though, it is very glitchy and buggy. I know that you can be in a hurry and aim for a deadline but in this case it really had an impact on the result.

Probably the bomb in 97. Judging by the design parts of it look kinda dated. Still good though. I like the zoomer in the beginning.
