i've heard the 3d part with the tree is an animation. i only voted this one 'cause of that part. blame them :(

Yep, the tree is an animation, but actually the realtime unpacking routine is some rather nifty work in itself (atleast it seemed that way when Kalms explained it :) ).

We were kind of hoping that people would appreciate other parts of the demo too, such as the forest zoomer and the shadowcasting balls.
At least the Polish crowd yelled "Animation" at the wrong part of the demo :)
8MB diskspace is a PITA when doing those zooms, by the way - we had to cut down a lot on the lighting information in the forest zoomer :/

i was lucky to see it at the party... 060 - ouch!! 3D stuff and great stuff too! the fish... ummm i love fishes! and the tree... animation? who cares! 320x200 looks great on amiga still! i just wonder when i will be able to see it next time?

With this demo, The Black Lotus are getting almost as good as the old TBL was in 1996-1997 (captured dreams, tint). I think the demo lacks a bit of energy. But they are getting very close to the top again. Awesome visuals, fab code and good music. It's so wonderfull to have the masters on Amiga again. Keep those corckers coming, TBL!
starts really nice, but kinda loses power afterwards.. nice one still. shame about the animation part. 8)

Sort of liked it, but didn't found it so imppressive to justify all the hype that was given to this production
I guess the hype is about the smoothly animated objects on a 'standard' 060-AGA Amiga :)

nice demo, but i think it could be even better with more time to code on. i always miss the mirrow object in the beginning. maybe it was ment to be like this but i always expect a mirrored object in the mirrow. :)

One of the less impressive TBL demos imo. Most scenes look ok, some pretty damn good and some just outright ugly. Deisgn isn't really there at all and the music sucks imo.
