I like this one somehow. The simple old school attitude of throwing together some effects and scroller text really works well in this context.

Thumbs up for being cute. I liked the rotating/zooming 3D planet, the shimmering reflection pool did have an oldschool feel to it. The final effect was nice.

If this were a real cohesive demo with music, that'd be just grand. Hopefully he can do something for the next TMDC.

Some nice effects, could do with some transitions but on the whole ok :-)

pretty nice textmode style, but as shockwave said.. it needs some transitions, and a tune would also be good. It was only 32k or so zipped tho, so I reckon there should be space for an xm player or something and some timing for scene changes next time :)

quite ok. It misses a music.

The scene with the opera of Sydney made me think to Quantum Chromodynamics ^__^

Thanks for all the nice comments! :)
I don't much like the way you have to step through the effects yourself. I'd rather synch it up to some music and time it by that, and once had that going fade from one to the other. However, my musical talents leave a lot to be desired (more so than my messy coding).
It was intended to be a direct copy of a Z80 ASM demo on my graphical calculator called "Pixel Madness" (it's on here too), but it changed quite a bit in the process.

yeah, you need music and syncing the demo to that music, then it would be really great. for now, it has some really good effects, even though the voxel landscape looked a little weird?

anyway, good work, but get a musician to do soundtracks for your next prods ;)

no music and esc pressing is minus... otherwise quite ok

This ROCKS :D
Finally a textmode demo that isn't only converted RGB but features fonts and such.
I also totally second Fox: Musicians are easy to find, so just drop an ad in the scene.org forums, they'll make you music and off you go to the next TMDC :)

Thumbs up :) It's really nice... Sadly music is missing... Some cool blip-blop music and it would get a double thumbs up :)

Nice screens, I like the plasma texts =)

I really like that. But without music, this is not really enjoyable. Find a musician, make a new one, and we're all happy.

hell yeah! Work on making some cool transitions beetween your scenes and add music and where talking groovy shit!
And if you'd like too use that voxel landscape again I think you must work on making it look better in and near the horizon, it tends too look like a flickering blur ( I know that's one of the problems with voxels. ) Near the bottom of the screen it sure looks awsome!

My god! Don't know about the technical shit, but this is ugly and has the worst presentation I've ever seen in a demo ever.

I enjoyed it, and it has the source. And shane hates it. Just needs music to be perfect ;-)

This demo has some very nice effects, but needs some better transitions

HEY! my McAfee virus scan says this file is INFECTED with "New Win32". Can anyone confirm this?
sucks added on the 2005-04-15 23:02:51 by daMax2 daMax2
My virus scanner (AVG Free) doesn't alert anything, and no one else has reported a problem with it. I'm not out to get anyone - try redownloading, and if there's still a problem I'm sorry, there's not a lot I can do!

No sound, but still a pretty cool intro (if you've activated winamp). ;)
