Sorry, but first of all, the effect doesn´t look very good in my opinion. There is no music (at least not on my system), and the "vote" text is so fast, that I cannot read it. Did you forget to put up a timer? I know that doing a 4k isn´t simple, but this is far from being impressive...

Nobody should take a prod like this seriously. C++ 4K's can be good, but this is not. Try harder next time!

anyway, i had this pretty old basic effect code on my harddisk, maybe 1/2 day left before the deadline at bp04, i tried and i failed. i had fun doing this, so i released it afterwards, maybe someone likes it. i didn't release much till my active time, which ended some years ago, i don't think there will be a "next time".

@RufUsul: yeah, wasnt your fault. seems like your intro was just the first application where i recognized this error. seems like the detonator got some problems with my monitor, when switching from my standard refresh rate to other ones. if i set the refresh rate manually to 60hz everything works fine. even after updating the detonator, the error still occured (but this time hanging my whole system instead of changing the refresh rate to death). i dont know where the problem was since this did only happen with one or two applications where others ran fine. i am know using an older detonator version which works fine.
@ttl: sounds strange. i used a laptop with geforce2go (should be running a detonator 4x.xx) to code and tested it on a geforce4 (with actual 56.72) at home. I even have RefreshLock running to force higher updaterates but never had your problem.
My directdraw code uses double buffering and draws directly on the primary surface, but i think this is pretty common.

RufUsul: No hard feelings. When I comment prods, I try to be honest, so a thubs down it was. It's still great that you released it. Having fun making stuff is what the scene's all about!

i also thumbed down my release myself, because i know much better 4k intros. but as i said before i had fun doing it, and that's nearly all what counts for me ;-)
normaly i don't have time for the scene because i'm occupied with my job. i only try to vist ms/bp every year and have fun there.

Didn't like the colours or concept or music. The subliminal message also didn't work for me.
