Interesting and original show for the plus platform.
Too long in my opinion

Wow, I was expecting a short continuation of 3DManiaks with few more objects but I got way more than expected. Voxel landscape, sphere mapped earth, raycaster, exploding dots. And massive gfx and alien theme. There are lot's of stuff and details missed watching second time. A minus is that polygons get too slow close enough. If speed was better this would be one of my favourite CPC demos, but still the content, code and presentation are big. Could easily take one of the first three places! Bravo!!!

Neat Ultrasid tribute!

Generally a stonking platform ambassador for the Amstrad Plus.

I would prefer more framerate with less stuff and a bit more streamlined presentation, but certainly lots of stuff in here and the angel wings made me tear up a bit.

Wow - amazing nod to Ultrasyd (that caught me off guard). Great routines, cheeky colour palettes and clean design all-round. Can't wait to watch it on the GX4000 (technically Pelruns GX - we're copying it to the multicart now!)

That was unexpected! Pity that the bigger part of the graphical content is AI generated images though. Sweet tribute to Ultrasid. That was a nice touch.

A very colourful demo with excellent coding skills! Definitely my favorite Impact demo to date. I will watch it many times for sure :)

A nice surprise with a large number and variety of spectacular graphics and scenes in a great piece of code work. The music is a lovely track by Ultrasyd in a nice tribute. In my opinion, the best of last night at Revision. I hope you get a prize. Thank you guys!

Unexpected big demo for PLUS with a lot of different effects and amount of graphics. A synchronized music with all these sequences is missing.

I have to watch on the real machine but it's a milestone for the small PLUS demostory!

A solid Amstrad PLUS prod with a lot of screens.

Nice to hear again some awesome tune from the late UltraSYD.

Keep on making an Impact!

Oh, does it run on those spanish Amstrad 472PLUS or will the spanish scene make some drama again ?

kudos at ultrasyd

The thing that kept annoying me when watching this one (beside the major slowdowns and the AI generated pictures) was the ugly way the objects popped up and off of the corners of the screens, needs more refining. Nice music.

Thanks to release this amazing job.
I followed this work for a year (effects, gfx, etc).
I finally see the ray cast and vortex I saw in private 😉.
Good job my friends keep on going I’ m proud of you.
And I missed you UltraSyd.

A new Impact demo on the Plus machine which definitely required a ton of work to make it happen! Huge variety of graphics and code. Congratulations for your submission, good luck with the results 🤞

Nice Plus demo with some great graphics and techniques. A bit more flow and refinement would make this one of the best. But these are minor things. Love it.

Music is the best part of this (RIP Ultrasyd), but the rest of it does not hold up. Especially the contrast between clearly AI-generated graphics and rest of the pixelled parts is .. jarring .. to say the least.

Tempted to give a thumb down, but meh .. piggy, if for the music alone.

The "Amstrad-CPC" Discord community has told me to vote this demo down due to AI gfx.
It is such a shame as I actually quite like this demo and was going to give it a thumb-up!

I can think for myself, so no one told me to vote this demo up. But I do it nevertheless, because it entertained me. :o)

My least favorite demo or intro in any compo at Revision. Bored me to death.

Interresting, but too long with same 3D scene.
(Just because you have 4096 colors doesn't mean you have to use them all
each time.)

"Thumb up" for the amount of work here.

It's great to see a first CPC Plus demo on Revision! Some effects are very good, like the voxel, the raycast dungeon, the mapped planet. I liked you trying to get some kind of concept and scripts. The "odyssey" kind of part towards the end was really promising. There's obviously a lot of work in this demo.

Now, allow me some constructive criticisms, which may explain why it only was ranked 5th on the competition... and why I personally didn't really enjoy the demo:
- Please Impact, you NEVER used any original song in the last two decades. How come?? There are many CPC musicians to compose for you. Plus, why don't you showcase the Plus possibilities with Zik's Soundtracker DMA? The music loops back BEFORE the demo is over!
- The 3D engine is, sadly, getting old, especially since Optimus last excellent demo. Perspective is not managed, clipping is clumsy (if you cannot manage clipping, then keep your objects away from the borders). The framerate increases when the shape is getting in the background, but the framerate gets too quick, which makes the rotation completely un-natural.
- The sprites are often ugly, with clipping badly managed once again, often out of place in the context. Fortunately, the backgrounds are great most of the time.
- Most colour shades are so 80's they should be forbidden.
- The greetings logos, sadly don't look good. The explosion effect isn't great...
- The end of the demo abruptly, which would have work with the music following the counter, but it doesn't, so the demo ends with a feeling of being rushed.
- Basically, too many things, but nothing polished enough, in my opinion.

I hope you won't get hurt by all these remarks. But I'd really like to see you win the first place next time!

What a pleasant surprise to see an Impact demo at Revision! It's clear that this demo represents a colossal amount of work, congratulations!

I enjoyed seeing an Amstrad Plus demo for the first time at Revision, as well as some unusual CPC/Plus effects (raycast, sphere mapping, and voxel) and backgrounds behind the effects.

However, the show is way too long, and the most interesting effects get lost in the middle of the demo. The music is completely disconnected from the visuals, which reduces their impact. Also, while I love Ultrasyd's music, why didn't you ask a musician compose original music to fit the demo? Finally, there's too much color.

As Targhan said, this is constructive criticism given with kindness. I'd really like to see a future Impact demo take all these points into account ;)

I'm half-hearted - again. It's a solid achievement on an underrated platform - kudos for that. That being said, my impression is unsettling: as if there's a checklist of features and effects, it ticks all the boxes, and yet no "WOW" factor. I guess I have too high expectations.
