Graga: A bunch of older Thinkpads (including T60 I think) have bad SATA controllers that only don't do SSDs justice. SSD is still a very good idea, tho. - Graga: Don't count on an SSD improving your battery life by more than a minute or so, if at all. 2,5" HDDs are very efficient already, and (by far) most the power consumption in a laptop is by the CPU, LCD backlight, RAM, etc.
