- demo Commodore 64 Neon by Triad [web]
- It's incredible to see how many amazing new demos got released on this platform. In golden age of C64 there might have been more released and demo groups... but the amount of work and innovation in today released surpass by far what was made in the past. So, yeah... C64 golden age (in my opinion) is still going on in 2017 based on that demo! :D

- demo Windows New York Beautiful by Bawlz
- My first though was that probably better photos or textures could have been used in the trip?
But, after seeing the texture files, it's interesting to see again the demo and it's easier to understand why there are very few details only that can be recognized! :) Music is nice... & somehow sounds familiar to what our musician in QBR composed... - rulezadded on the 2017-02-13 20:41:53
- demo Commodore 64 Tropical Storm by Optic Vision
- Our 2nd and last C64 (NTSC) demo.
Right after our first demo "Evolution", me (Black Cat, aka F-Cycles) and The Might, started to think about making another one. There was so many things we learned and wanted to experiments.
In this demo, it was the first time I got sprites being displayed in border area! Showing 12 sprites in a digital part + trying a moving chess plane (just because that look cool). Also, I got my hand on a FLI software to draw logos which I used for the credits part. I also decided for that part to put 8 sprites all over each other which was no big deal, but I remember people telling me how they were amaze about the end result.
The intro sequence where it show: "optic vision" "presents" was a request of TheMight at 3am before the party event... I was exausted but knew that he had so much work on his hand... so, I told him... okay, I will do it! I coded it quickly send him back and went to bed.. next morning was the events and I was wondering if all parts did end up fitting on the disk?
TheMight was making amazing progress on his side. Managing to have a part running with a loader. His drawing skills also was improving... Although, the amount of work + other life activities become
After this demo being released, me and The Might started to work on our 3rd C64 demos. Myself, I was working on a 3D part using filled circles which were moving inside a sphere. My demo part was also showing a scroll being also displayed in the border (left-right).
We don't know how our 3rd demo would have looked, but chances are it would have been again a demo with multi-parts and some digitized music. I was still using monitor and I remember how painful I felt when I move to a compiler on PC! When you are use to type a run command and your code just run... having to wait for a compiler + a linker... then if there is a syntax error, going back to the text editor and so on...
In 2005, I was working on a comeback on C64 scene... going deeper about how to use the disk drive (1541), getting PAL/NTSC auto-detection, ... Then, Intruder & Sanyo (aka TronicSynth) convince me to move on GP2X. Sanyo, especially when he show me his GP2X and asked me help to learn how to program it. I coded in C using SDL a series of dot moving on screen and he told me... Wow, that's the most amazing things I saw so far on this device! I realized, yeah.. But, then I suffer from the syndrome... "never good enough to be released". Until... we show up in a fast-demo party in 2010, which unlock my go_and_release state! :P - isokadded on the 2017-02-07 16:25:50
- demo Commodore 64 Evolution by Optic Vision
- Our first (NTSC) demo from Optic Vision. Black Cat was my nickname on C64. I coded back then directly in a monitor (Super SnapShot v5) and remember having papers with so many hex values around me.
Back in those days, just having a logo, a digital music and a scroll seem a pretty serious stuff. As, it could show that not only we could record and playback digitized music but we could also do something while it's playing. Yes, there was older demos which was doing it... but we didn't have access to that many demos... Afterall, in 1991.. was my first try with a modem... a 300 bauds, borrowed to Sanyo (aka TronicSynth). Then, Sanyo convince me to buy a 1200 bauds... - isokadded on the 2017-02-06 20:34:56

- demo Wild Don't mess with Texas by Desire [web]
- <3 megademo for this platform.
It`s also a good timing to get out a Texas demo, with the actual Cow-boys attitude of the new president of USA (Trump).
My favorite part is the wolfenstein one... as the framerate is high...
I also like the filled 3D with imperfect chars... it give a style, although I understand must be due to some limitation to get that FPS? - rulezadded on the 2017-01-30 18:36:35
- demo invitation Windows The Best Demo Evar by Bawlz
- The invtro show that even with 0 time... someone can do something simple and get it's message out!
I was expecting no TMDC this year bcoz of the reason shown in this demo... well, happy to see that there is still one. - rulezadded on the 2016-11-11 21:30:31

- demo Commodore 64 Lunatico by lft [web]
- For couples of month I was wondering if we will see any new big projects from you... as I am sure you are very busy and even more as the family get bigger!? (if I am correct)... The music & sound is amazing! I am also curious about the new tricks you have found - which is something I look to check in your .d64 once I finish to view (re-view) the prods from X2016! The animated rain drop pattern make me though about a demo and article (http://cpc.sylvestre.org/articles/articles_makingof4.html) related with the Amstrad CPC by Les Sucres en Morceaux.
A very nice demo... but I hope next time that we could see more colors! - rulezadded on the 2016-11-03 18:26:49
- demo Linux Windows Raspberry Pi Raspberry Psy by Desire [web]
- amazing!! somehow I think about Stash / TBL, maybe because of the song & colors... my favorite part (which seem one of the easier one) is at 1:25... but the design of it is innovative!
